Description

Slough off the wet socks.

Looking around, you can't exactly distinguish where the sky ends and the earth begins. A tempest pours down torrents, washing away whatever trail used to exist here. Luckily, you brought your Patagonia Women's Drifter A/C Waterproof Hiking Shoes. The waterproof upper keeps your socks dry while still allowing airflow. The 20% recycled EVA footbed contours to the foot for cushioning and support, and the Patagonia Air Cushion Plus provides shock absorption no matter how rocky the trail. Patagonia now manufactures its Bi-Fit polyurethane waterproof insole board with 80% post-consumer recycled material while the Vibram Trail Ecostep outsole contains 30% recycled rubber.

  • Nubuck leather and air mesh upper
  • Bi-Fit (80% recycled) polyurethane waterproof membrane
  • 20% recycled EVA footbed
  • Air Cushion Plus midsole
  • Vibram Trail Ecostep outsole (30% recycled rubber)

Great shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This will be my second pair, bought them again because I loved the first ones so much! I have pretty narrow feet and while I don't feel like this is a particularly narrow shoe; with thicker hiking socks, I never had any slipping or blister problems. Very comfortable, sturdy Vibram sole with good traction. The waterproof ones will keep your feet drying when stepping in a puddle, even when the water comes over the laces. The ones without the Gore-Tex/water proofing are definitely a bit lighter but considering I wear them in rain and snowy conditions, it's worth a little extra weight to have dry feet. Great shoe overall.
