What is the best shoe for heel pain...unfortunately I have recently begun to experience pains in my heels and want to make sure the shoes I purchase have extra padding in this area.

Awesome shoes - super comfortable, good looking, and great to travel in. They do run a bit small; I bought a half-size up, which fits well.

Can these be resoled if I wear out the sole?

Congratulations, your a super hippy. If you wear these out they will undoubtedly stink so bad that it will be time to recycle these things and purchase a new pair.Patagonia Footwear outsoles are available and the Dogwoods can be resoled through Mountain Soles in Portland Oregon- www.mtnsoles.com
