Fits snug like a Trogan
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
Good quality, good looks, what more can I say?
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I'm on my 3rd pair of these over 4 years. I wear them so often I wear out the soles. Super comfy inside and with the sole. Flexible, but give me decent arch support. I wear em to work nearly every day (jeans and a shirt) and they look formal enough, but still casual.
Great shoes that are comfy / casual, but can still get away with them in slightly classier circumstances
Note that these shoes are quite flexible, especially in the forefoot area. If you're walking long distances on hard surfaces you can feel your feet getting tired if you're not used to it.
These are without a doubt 10/10...
I bought these for buisness/casual and I these are the best shoes I've ever owned. They are super comfortable from day 1. I've owned them for a little over 3 months now and I couldn't be happier with them. I am a very picky shoe person so to get a 10/10 says a lot. I really hope they keep making these for a while because I do plan on ordering another pair when I need another pair.
Looks good, feels thin
When I first got these shoes, they seemed to run small and were very stiff. It took a while, maybe two weeks, for them to break now. Now they feel great. The honeycomb pattern on the sole is not flat, but a little convex, so they don't provide much (if any) support. I have found that they also pick up dirt or snow in the holes and basically lose all their traction when that happens. But they really are a casual, good-weather shoe so I'll give them four stars for look and comfort during travel (minimal walking) or in the office.
A very comfortbale shoe. As stated througout other reviews, they do lack some arch support, but wearing this is almost like being barefoot. I can wear them to work, out at bars, and just about anywhere else. They go with both jeans and work pants. When I got mine, I sprayed them down with a stain/water repeller (available just about anywhere at shoes store or convenience stores) to try and protect the material a little bit and it seems to be doing the trick- shoes are still clean despite living in a city, commuting, rain, spills, etc.
Do these shoes run pretty true to size? ...
Do these shoes run pretty true to size? For casual leather shoes, most of mine are 10, with one pair of Sperry Billfish that are 10.5.
They'll be pretty true to size! I've got lace-up version of this shoe and its awesomely comfortable!
Good to know! Thanks! $120 seems a bit steep, but if they were in the $70 range, I'd buy ASAP. Did you pay that much for yours?
comfortable & casual
I bought these shoes because my other patagonia shoes that were similar were stolen while i was on an east coast trip (thanks, East Coast). These shoes are a little more classic in their style. I like them a lot- they slip on and off easily but fit snugly enough once they're on. Probably perfect for those travel days when you have to remove your shoes a few times for TSA at the airports. All in all, they are really nice and comfortable and look like they should last a long time.
