Like everything else, having the right footwear for the job makes all the difference. I have had these shoes for 2 months and I think they look great. There is not a lot of support with the OEM insoles, and they do not seem to breathe as nicely as I would hope. I still love these shoes, they look great with a pair of jeans, moutain khakis or whatever you choose, but I think there are better alternatives for hiking footwear. I do not dislike these shoes, but as I said, they are best suited for casual footwear needs. My opinion of course...

The Boaris Mids are a much better shoe than I expected, and I had high expectations. They are comfortable and warm and fit like a dream. The waterproof membrane is great and keeps the shoe dry all the time. My only complaint is that the pulls on the back of the shoe were weak and pulled from one of their connections within the first 10 wears, without putting an inordinate amount of pressure one them. Oddly it seems like the whole loop is the problem not just one of the attachments because different attachments ripped on each shoe. So they are awesome shoes, but I was a bit disappointed by the pulls but the shoes still work great.
