Bly Hiking Shoe - Women's

Patagonia used plenty of eco-friendly and recycled materials in the Women’s Bly Hiking Shoe, and it still looks stylish as a street sneaker. As far as on-trail performance is concerned, the Bly Shoe cushions your feet dirt with Poli-Cork footbeds as they pound the dirt. Partially-recycled Vibram soles offer excellent grip on rocky surfaces, and mesh lining draws perspiration from your socks and lets it evaporate out of the shoe.

Bottom Line: Street-savvy style, on-trail performance, and earth-friendly construction to boot. What’s not to love?

you know, these would probably be an ok approach shoe, if i didn't feel like i was going to fall out of them. Yes, i could tighten the laces, however, that wouldn't help the heel slip. Substantial heel slip. Now some might say i am too picky, but if you've warn a good pair of shoes that you are going to be doing any kind of outdoor movement in, then the shoe should feel secure. Heel slip can be fixed by created a more conformed heel pocket, that comes just above that part of your heel where the achilles meets.... this shoes lacks this and so, slippage happens. I'll probably keep them for wearing at the office, since they are nice looking anyway, but they won't be hitting the trail.

Great all around shoe!

These shoes are great approach shoes! I tried on a bunch of different ones and these were the most comfortable. They are comfy enough that you can wear them around, but stiff and aggressive enough that you can wear the on some technical approaches. I usually wear a 7 - 7 1/2 and I got the 7s. My toes are right up against the end but if I tie the laces tight it's just right and I like them to be more snug than loose. Over all they're great shoes! I've gone on several adventures in them and they're standing up to use just fine.

Love them!

These shoes are just what I was looking for! I'd been using trail running shoes as approach shoes forever and didn't know what I was missing until I found these. When you have to walk over rocks to get the the routes, these are awesome. Super sticky, not too stiff and they've got a wide toe box which is good for me.

Awesome . . . for everything!

These are fantastic, light, sturdy hiking shoes. Great for everything from walking the dog in the fall/winter to walking up 80 degree rock walls! They are so incredibly solid and comfortable. They do run about a half size small, so definitely go up a half size when ordering.

Didn't hold up

I love Patagonia products. But these just didn't last as long as I expected. After only 6 months the sole is worn down under the ball of the foot, and the sole is separating on both shoes.
