    Thick Cozy Cute Flannel

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 4 & 6

I have 2 of these now in a 4 & 6. Both sizes fit great the 4 being a bit shorter and more tailored. The 6 is not oversized not too fitted and still looks great with a bit more room for the broad shoulders. The fabric is thick and durable the patterns are super cute. Great for shoulder season or when it's not quite cold enough for a fleece.

    Favorite warm flannel

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

What I love most about this flannel is the color, second is the softest, third is the warmth. I bought this in two colors and when I lost weight, I re-bought them! I found that it fits true to size. I have a bigger chest (36D) and with some "tit tape" (fashion tape), the buttons stayed closed!

Shirt so nice I bought it twice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 0

This is my favorite shirt. I got it in a 2 and it was a bit boxy, so I downsized and it fit great! This makes me think it runs on the large side. I find it to be very flattering for a flannel and the material is soft and thick. I bought two because I liked it so much!

    warm and comfy

I got this for my mother and she absolutely loves it. I got it for her in the middle of winter and she says it is a perfect shirt to wear out when the weather is on the cooler side. She also says that is is very comfortable and she can move her arms easily when wearing the shirt.

Not worth $72, and definitely not $90

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Size Bought: 8

I like the print/design of this shirt, and I love how soft the material feels on my skin, but it was made poorly. The length and sleeves are definitely way too short. I have a thin athletic build with a flat stomach. My shirt also shrunk dramatically after one wash. In my opinion, this shirt is over priced, and not worth the sale price of $72. I was thinking of ordering another color in a bigger size, and taking it to the cleaners for an alteration of the torso area, but after it shrunk, it's probably best that I save my money. However, I'd be willing to get it altered if Backcountry wants to send me one complimentary. I would even write another review with an update.

      Not well made, from CHINA

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 12

Not very well made, from CHINA, had I know that I would not have purchased. Disappointed. Cut very oddly. Darts in the back which make arms pooch out. Not the usual Patagonia quality I am used to, so back it goes....

Looking for cozy? Look no further.

      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 8

Obsessed. I want 3 million more. The thickness of this flannel, not to mention the material makes you never want to take it off. I usually wear HUGE flannels, but opted for a little bit more of a fitted one. (Fitted meaning not halfway down my thighs)

I generally buy men's flannels, but I thought I would try this one out. It's got that "womens" cut, so a little curvier than the boxy mens. It doesn't look bad loose either, but I think it's meant to be worn a little more fitted than I like it. Either way- looks and feels great. (The Fjord is on the right in the picture)

      Severely irregular button placket

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 10

I was willing to spend $90 on this flannel hoping it would be a staple this winter. I ordered two so I could decide on the right size and color. I am so disappointed because they both have the same defect: the button placket that runs up and down the front of the shirt veer to the right towards the bottom. This is awkward and uncomfortable. I am surprised nobody has mentioned it here in the reviews. Was it just a coincidence that the two I purchased have this defect?

Hmm. That's odd; I've never noticed that among all the Fjord Flannels I've seen and have dealt with, including the one I own (though I've always thought that button-up shirts are generally a little wonky on me because of my own slight body asymmetry). I would say the best thing to do would be to try them on before you order them online, if possible. Sometimes the stitching can vary depending on the singular, particular garment (especially if it's fair trade sewing, for instance). Another thing to do would be to try out the men's Fjord Flannel--they will fit a bit differently but there's less tailoring (darting), so they will be a bit boxier (just size down), which might help you find more of a straight fit as opposed to a curvy one (which might be why you feel that veering placket). Good luck :)

I agree with Jen, haven't noticed this on mine. I would guess that might happen if the shirts fit a little tighter around your hips -- the shirt might gap under the last button and cause the placket to look like it isn't straight. Don't think it's a defect, just a fit thing.

      Love these flannels

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 4

I purchased a couple of these recently and have already worn them a lot! I would probably wear one of these shirts every day of the week if I could! The material is thick and very soft. For a flannel, I think the fit is very flattering! They also wash very well. I was concerned they might shrink but so far that is not the case at all (washing on cold, drying on low heat).

      Love these flannels

      Best flannel ever

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 6

I live in Patagonia flannels. I have an average build, wear a 34B bra size and the size 6 fits the way I like. Easy to fit a long sleeve shirt under, I also like to knot it in the front. If you like a tighter, shorter flannel I would get a 4. ( I own both sizes-both fit great, but I reach for my size 6 ones more often as they are looser). I have been buying Patagonia women's flannels for years-honestly you would only ever need to buy one as they are the most durable versatile shirts I have ever owned, but I wear them every week year round. Every woman needs one! If you only have space for one long sleeve shirt while camping/hiking etc-this is your shirt.

      Great quality, comfort and style

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 2

I generally find Patagonia clothing to be a bit too short in the the arms and torso but this shirt fits wonderfully. Fit is great, material is soft and durable. Couldn't recommend more.

      #bada$$

      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 6

Just got my flannel today and I love it. Beautiful colors, great fit and made with great quality materials. It's super soft and warm. I gave it 4/5 bc it it's a little boxy.. But it's a flannel so I shouldn't be form fitting.

      Hashtag Love

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

      Cons:
      - don't love the sizing options. I prefer S, M, L, etc... With that being said, I think I got a size too big, maybe. Oh well.
      - a little boxy, but not really a bother

      Pros:
      - the flannel fabric is thick and so so soft.
      - love the colors, I got Handicraft/Oxblood
      - great quality

I use this flannel as an added layer to play in the mountains, lounge at home or be comfortable at work. Put it on when it's cool, take it off when hot. Normally I wash it in cold and don't dry it. Last time I did laundry, I washed it in warm and did dry it and haven't noticed any change. I will probably keep washing it in cold and not drying it though. If I ever needed to count on a flannel, for whatever reason, this would be the one.

I am 5'4" and the backpacking backpack that I use is a size small-xsmall, so I have a shorter torso. This flannel is longer than I expected, it goes down 3ish inches past the middle (widest part) of my hips. FYI

      The Perfect Flannel

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

Thus is the softest flannel I have ever owned. It's fantastic, a d washes well. I'm 5'10", and flannels almost always shrink after the first wash, making the sleeves too short for me. This one didn't shrink, and the sleeves are perfect. The flannel is really, really soft. I love this shirt.

Have any of you ladies tried on Patagonia's men's Fjord flannels and know how they look compared to the women's flannels? I'm contemplating getting the XS in a men's flannel since it's comparable to the women's size S (4-6). I like a boxy fit in my flannels rather than a fitted flannel.

Any one know if BC will be getting new...

Any one know if BC will be getting new stock in this seasons colours? I just bought one of these yesterday and NEED another.
