Patagonia Down Sweater - Boys' - 2008 BCS

This is a great jacket for the money. I love the lightweight aspect and it is so very warm. Gotta admit that I am too cheap to buy a woman's jacket. the only down side of the jacket, for a gal who is size small in women's, is that it's a litle narrow around the hips. But I would indeed do it all over again.

I am normally a w's small in Patagonia, but I discovered that the kids xl actually fits better (not too short or too tapered like the women's) and it's 1/2 price. It's warm, comfortable, and well-made. I like the down sweater more than the down jacket because it's not so bulky.

I usually wear a medium in women's jackets, and was pleased to find that the large boy's Patagonia jacket fits like a glove for 1/2 the price of women's versions. It smooshes up to a tiny package for traveling, and is a great warm layer for chilly mornings and makes a passable pillow. The only thing I added was a zipper pull, as the one on the jacket is very hard to find with gloves or cold hands. Wish it came in different colors, though, but still a killer deal!

I have the women's small and ordered this kids' XL for my 18-year old daughter. I actually prefer the kids' fit (unfortunately, so does my daughter). A great price for an excellent, cozy but superlightweight & packable product.
