  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

These pants are super warm and relatively lightweight. I brought them with me on a yurt trip to Montana and this was perhaps the most important piece of clothing I brought. On super cold nights these kept me comfortably warm! If you are going to be in extremely cold situations, I highly recommend getting a pair of these. The DWR coating keeps them semi-waterproof and since it uses synthetic insulation (not down) it still maintains its insulating properties if they get a little wet in the snow.

Winter cragging heaven

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

If you crag all winter long, these should definitely be in your kit. Its amazing how much more pleasant they make the day - just buy a size that fits a little big and pull them on over your harness, leaving the fly unzipped for the belay loop.
