Patagonia Custodian Short - Men's - 2008 BCS

I'm pleased with these shorts. Great fit and solid fabric. I decided to purchase because of the organic cotton fabric. These sit properly on my waist and don't sag. The non sag factor is important when mounting and dismounting my bike. Yes these do have cell phone/mp3 pocket on the left thigh, I find it useful. I plan on wearing these for years to come because of the strong fabric and construction. Right on Backcountry and Patagonia!

I ordered a pair of these thinking they would be pretty effective hiking shorts. That they are, no questions asked. They are built to last, which makes for a pretty good investment. However, they're a good bit longer on me than I like. Granted, my legs are perhaps a bit shorter than most, but they fall right on top of the knee. That would be my only gripe with them. Other than that, an excellent pair of shorts.

These shorts are alright, but I wasn't overly impressed. I don't think the photos show it well and it's not listed in the specs, but there is a cell-phone sized pocked midway down on the left side. They are a little too formal and stiff for taste, but seem like they'll last a good while.

These shorts are comfortable, durable, and I wear them for everything from hiking to cycling to lounging. They are perfect.

The Patagonia Custodian Short is my new favorite Patagonia short - they are a good fit, durable, soft and have a nice casual cut. I have worn mine basically everyday since I got them - from Telluride to Jackson and back to work, these are my new go-to shorts. In fact, I am ordering a different color now, so I really can wear them everyday (without getting the "haven't you worn those for like 20 days in a row").

I ordered a 34 and 36 when I first got them - the 34 fits perfectly. I am 6'2" 190 lbs with a general 34ish waist.
