With the Men's Capilene Daily Short-Sleeve T-Shirt, you can enjoy the comfort and performance of Patagonia's signature baselayer line every day. It still offers the flexibility and moisture-wicking performance you expect from the rest of the Capilene line, but with a regular fit and basic colors you can wear out to the bar. It's also quick-drying so it doesn't stay soaked when you work up a sweat while hiking or get beer on yourself while shotgunning a tallboy.

    Holds on to Water

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: Large

I've got a few of these now, and I've worn them on hikes in cold, warm and hot weather as well as downpours. Here's my unfortunate take. They are comfortable, fairly think and very stretchy. They seem to wick water off of you quite well, but they hold a lot of that water in the shirt for a long time. They are slow to dry. I wore one last week in a 6 mile hike in a tropical downpour. It seems to weight 3lbs when it was wet. When I got home I hung it up with shorts, socks, underwear to experiment and 3 hours later it was still just as soaked after everything else had dried. For a dry weather, cold hike these work great. I think that they are great casual or workout shirts. For a baselayer on an extended hike in wet conditions I would avoid this shirt. I have a few of these in Large and XL and for me at 6 feet 200lbs the Large is a perfect fit.

    Good for getting sweaty.

This shirt is great for hiking, running, or working out. Plus, it's super stretchy so i guess it would be great for yoga—although, I wouldn't know since I don't do yoga. Basically, if you're looking for a lightweight, moisture-wicking shirt, that won't stink after an all-out sweatfest, this is the shirt you're looking for.

    Not some flashy Patagonia

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This shirt is perfect, I wanted something to keep me cool while out in direct sun for long hikes or runs and this does the job. It provides protection from the sun and my sweat wicks away so quickly helping to keep me cool in the dry Utah summer. I would recommend this shirt to anyone looking for the same, as long as you don't need everyone to know that you're wearing Patagonia(the only visible logo is a small tag at the very bottom)..

    Excellent gym shirt!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I use these for weight training, cardio and gym climbing. They're amazing for those. The fabric is lightweight and will snag if you're doing any backcountry rambling but for a simple workout shirt it can't be beat.
They're light, airy, and wick sweat off my body to dry quick. I tried a medium and while it fit, the large gave me more mobility. The fabric is a bit 'shiny' so it looks like exercise gear, not great for wearing around town... well, if you're into that I guess its fine.

    Work Out and Beach Shirt

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Perfect work out shirt. Dries quickly and doesn't hold a stink like other materials. I also wore it on a hot and humid trip in Mexico on the beach and it did extremely well.

    What all T's should be

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L

I purchased the Capilene Daily Short-Sleeve T-Shirt as a baselayer for backpacking, but I also like to where it when I ski. Super comfy, quick drying, stain resistant (in my experience), and offers solid sun protection. I couldn't ask for anything more...Another great product from Patagonia.

    Everything Tee

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

Super comfortable and flexible in all the right places...also drys very quickly and wicks away moisture. I use this shirt for everything from casual, to camping, to climbing, to bike commuting. Great shirt for every use!

    Daily Capilene

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

The Capilene Daily T-Shirt is super lightweight and breathable, great for pretty much any activity. It can be used as a layer or by itself on hot summer days, plus it has bomber upf protection. I got this as a birthday gift for my brother and he loves it! So much so that I'll probably be getting him some more in different colors.

    Great first layer

These shirts are great. This is my go to first layer under a mid-weight long sleeve. That is my upper layering setup I use 90% of the time when skiing. These are also great in the summer for MTN biking or just general exercise.

How does this compare to a capilene 1 silkweight shirt? I used the cap 1 shirts as travel undershirts and cap 2 for hiking baselayer. Wanted to replenish cap 1 shirts and wondering if this new "daily" shirt is more like the old 1's or 2's.
