Designed to tromp through dewy campsites and snowy sidewalks alike, the Capilene bottoms feature a soft fabric that wicks away moisture and a Polygiene treatment keeps post-play diaper funks at bay. I am on my second set of these, we outgrew the infant sizes. Love the fabric blend, I went through 2 winters in the first set and was able to hand down in excellent condition. You get what you pay for and these really hold up. The toddler sizes seem to be a lighter/thinner knit than the infant sizes, but are softer. All in all a great base layer, I use these year round in Alaska outdoors - hiking, skiing, biking, running, etc., with tot stationary in a pack/pulk/trailer/stroller. My daughter has always been warm but not dripping with sweat. Sizes are generous. Will continue to buy! The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5, is I prefer the style/extra durability of the infant sizes - reinforced knees, bodysuit instead of shirt, thicker knit and nice vented back knit. Wish they would have carried those characteristics into the toddler sizes.
