Irresistible.

The Patagonia Women’s Capilene 3 Bottom amazes you with its high performance and comfort. This bottom moves and stretches with your body when you rip around the mountain, go for a snowshoe, or dig out your driveway after an epic snowstorm. The Capilene 3 not only breathes well, but also wicks moisture away from your skin so you’re never left feeling all sweaty and uncomfortable. Its jersey-knit exterior allows for easy layering, and its durable fabric won’t let you down.

I'm always cold so I may be a bit biased, but I ski in the Northern Rockies where it is bitterly cold some days and these have done an amazing job keeping me warm. I still feel the cold on my butt though when I'm on the chair lift. That's my only gripe

Purchased a pair of these for my girlfriend who I just took skiing for the first time... She was on the bunny slopes at Sugarbush VT for 3 days all in the single digit temps and she was warm every day, she wore only these under a pair of north face insulated ski pants. These suckers are warm and wick away moisture to keep you warm even as you work hard and sweat... If it wasnt for these pants she def would of froze and then that would have wrecked my vacation as having a cold and soggy GF translates to me having a headache and not being on the slopes to enjoy the day, thanks for saving me Patagonia!!!

these are a great baselayer, keep me very warm when id normally feel goosebumps. also attractive enough to wear as a lounge pant at home. im 5'8" 123 lbs, got the xs. tiny bit short in the ankles but not a bad thing really.

Usually I am not one to think long underwear look 'sexy'. They typically do the job with keeping you warm & dry. But if you are like me and ski your legs into the ground, then you are usually sweating and hot come 4 o'clock. I hate packing too much in my bag and usually just strip down to the ole long underwear for apre ski. Ya I know I'm 'that girl.'I like these long underwear because they are functional, the seams don't dig into your waist and they look good when your ski pants come off! Hopefully this helped.(I'm not in the long underwear in this picture. I just like adding pictures)

I will say, these are certainly warm, and they're still thin enough to wear under a (loose) pair of pants. However, they have very little stretch to them, so if you're feeling particularly acrobatic, you may be a bit confined. They are only just barely long enough, technically reaching my ankles, though I would prefer them a little longer. I've worn them running and they do just fine, but I have yet to try them in truly inclement weather.

These are very comfortable and run fairly true to size. They are easy to layer over and keep you warm and comfortable, and the waist band and seams don't cut into your skin which is always a plus.

Ozonic Green is similar to a turquoise. Not sure why the image isn't available, look for it to be updated soon!

Was bought to accompany the Patagonia Capilene 3 midweight crew top for thermals for Everest basecamp trek in winter. Fits well and is comfortable.

What do the capilene numbers (1,2,3,4...) mean?

They're relative measures of warmth, only relevant for measurement against each other. The Capilene 1 is a thin wicking layer built for keeping you cool on warm days, while the Capilene 4 is a heavyweight fleece baselayer for slow moving or stop and go cold weather pursuits.

This layer, the Cap 3, will be good for high activity in bitter cold, or more leisurely activity in cool weather.
