My daughter loves these pants
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit:Runs large
- Size Bought: medium
Bought pant and the matching top for my 8 year old daughter for snowboarding, but as soon as she tried them on she refused to change back. They are extremely soft and seem to fit well enough to be comfortable, yet have room to get another year of growth. She is tall for her age and the medium (10)was spot on, which makes me wonder if they might be a bit on the large side for an average 10.
The best for my babes!
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I won't put my kids in any other baselayer....the end. To say we've "put it through the wringer" is an understatement. These kids have LIVED in their capilene since the day we got them....2 years ago (I picked them up a bit large, so they have finally grown into them nicely this year) These are a year-round wardrobe staple for us.
When we hit the slope each week in the winter, we are there open to close. My kids go go go and barely take the time to eat a snack. Blizzards, wind, spring sleet--they don't stop, and they never once complain about being cold.
They sleep in these year round when we are camping (we hit 20 degree temps last January in our tent and they slept like babies), and I'll find them cozied up in them with their cocoa on a Sunday afternoon. They have been washed and worn, washed and worn, and there isn't a single snag or stray thread....they look mint. Patagonia wins again.
Best base layer

Good for daily use, sleep wear or hitting slope with it. Built good, running second year with it and it looks like we just bought a week ago.
