Patagonia Capilene 1 T-Neck Top - Women's - 2008 BCS

Capilene is a functionally fantastic base layer - except for one minor detail. THE SMELL!!!

Typically when I sweat, I don't stink. Honestly. Ask my hiking buddies.

When I wear anything Capilene, it hangs on to every ounce of odor-producing sweat that I secrete. Really, it grosses me out.

If you're going to spend the money on a high quality baselayer, get marino wool. You can wear it for a week and it smells like it's fresh out of the dryer.

I'm a similar size to reviewer khilbertova2392445 and I got a medium and it fits just right. It's very silky and makes a great base layer.

Unlike some of the higher-end base layers that are now making their way in to the "apres-ski" line-up, this is one that works as it was intended - it's a great base layer and the turtleneck can fold up over your chin on those cold high traverses with gnarly winds.

Good fit with long enough sleeves. I am 5'7' (128 pounds) and many shirts don't have long enough sleeves. It's very lightweight - I thought I could use it for skiing - just the T-neck and a jacket but I'll need another layer. Soft and comfy otherwise.
