There’s nothing quite like watching a deep desert sunrise, except perhaps running through one. Thanks to the moisture-managing Patagonia Capilene 1 Stretch T-Shirt, you can cut a path through the fresh light without ending up soaked in sweat. Gladiodor treatment helps fight the big stink, while offset seams provide optimal comfort and mobility as you move through the red rocks.

I wish I bought more!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

Fits good and feels good. Extra perks for being on the buff side so the ladies like it.

The capilene 1 is great for the summer but doesn't dry that fast in hot and humid places. However, for dry places like on high altitude mountains, this shirt dries super fast. I should have bought more.

Like it

I like this shirt, but can't say I love it. It wicks well and has been very durable, so there are no complaints there. The reason I can't say its perfect is the fit. I have a few Patagonia capilene shirts and I have always liked how they fit me. With this shirt it was tight in the chest and shoulders but awkwardly loose at the waist and arms. I guess those are the dangers of online shopping. I still use it frequently, but usually as a base layer beneath something else.

Seems solid to me

This shirt seems a little more solid than most performance shirts, it's super stretchy, you can pull it and it will snap back like a rubber band. Probably going to be my work shirt because the fabric on some of the other brands TNF , and Mountain hardware seem to get fabric pulls easier. I recommend this shirt to those who go into the woods and want their shirt to not get ripped to shreds after a camping trip.

    Simply the Best

this is the best summer season performance shirt I've ever worn. I use this primarily in the summer however I also started wearing it as a wicking layer in the winter for strenuous hikes. They're very form fitting so be aware of that when sizing.

      nice running shirt

This shirt is everything you'd expect from a performance t-shirt. I use it mostly for running, it is fairly light (though not the lightest weight out there), it is athletic fit feels comfortable and soft. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is the collar is a little lose compared to other performance t-shirts that I like. I recommended, it is a good shirt for the price.

        just fine for me

I've been wearing Capilene for almost 20 years. Bought a few of these to replace some Cap 1 t shirts that I've had since the 90's. Still works just like it used to, wicking moisture away from my skin and keeping me cool. I bought these to be skin tight baselayers, so I really don't have any complaints about fit.

a scoop/boatneck cut through the collar and strangely short sleeves

I agree with the review posted by ste3236634 below. It has a scoop/boatneck cut through the collar and strangely short sleeves, which I don't care for. I agree with dav422396 that I don't want sleeves to my elbows, but this shirt fit me like a woman's baby-T would. No good. It's a shame, too, as I love the sleeveless version; it has been my go-to hiking shirt this summer.

            Great for the heat

Great wicking material like all my other Capilene pieces (important b/c I battle 100+ degree temps and 98% humidity)... slight scoop neck lays well and isn't so restrictive so I don't feel like I'm choking. Sleeves are also slightly shorter than other brands, which I like, personally (hate sleeves down to my elbows). Overall, this shirt is one of my favorites because it has an athletic look/fit to it, comfortable, maintains well after multiple washes, material doesn't snag/pile, and allows freedom of movement during any activity. I'm 5'8", 168 lb and a L fit me just fine.

              Poor fit

Poor fit, neckline is large and loose. Sleeves are too short. Overall a poor fit. I tried Medium and Large. On the up side, it does look well constructed. Patagonia needs to go back and work on the fit. It is going to be returned for another Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite T.

I'm 6 feet even, 190-ish lbs(depending on holiday food season) muscular upper with a varying little-to-moderate pot belly(again with mama's home cooking season). What size do I get in this shirt to not totally shrink wrap me like I'm trying to impress somebody? XL?? Thanks Gents
