The slim-fit Patagonia Women's Capilene 1 Silkweight Bottom adds lightweight insulation for chilly hikes, climbs, and ski days. The updated silkweight fabric is now faster-wicking and more breathable than ever, but it is still crafted from 100% recycled polyester and is fully recyclable. The all-natural Gladiodor treatment helps control odors for a longer useable life. Patagonia added a brushed elastic waistband and rolled-back side seams for maximum comfort.

I needed a new base layer to wear on cooler days when playing golf. Since I live in central Texas where we have more mild weather in the winter, I was worried about having something too thick that would make me feel too warm as the day warmed up. I need not worry with this silkweight bottom. They keep me "just right" and don't get too warm., yet they are warm enough in the early mornings.
I also love the cut and fit of these bottoms. No more high-waisted long underwear for me! These hit right below my belly button so I don't have 2-3" of extra fabric sticking up above my waistband of my pants.
