Description

Core toughness for serious adventures or everyday ones.

The Patagonia took the bomb-proof durability of a climbing haul bag and morphed it into a technical day pack that will perform subperbly on any day hike, climbing session, or even just a day on campus. Patagonia's Black Hole fabric throws down with powerhouse 1200D nylon, DWR-treated fabric to ensure ultimate durability and water-resistance. Throw this pack on your back and forget about rain and bush-wacking through dense under brush; even if you're just trying to survive a day of classes, this bag will see you through the toughest of challenges.

  • Padded shoulder straps with load lifters help balance your load and they won't dig into your skin
  • Molded back panel gives you an easy fit and helps promote air circulation
  • Webbing waist-belt stops your pack from bouncing around
  • Black Hole duffel fabric(used in Patagonia's climbing haul bags)combines 1200D nylon and a DWR finish for extreme durability and moisture resistance
  • Water-resistant zippers keep rain out of your bag
  • Padded computer sleeve cradles laptops up to 17in; it also doubles as a ported hydration reservoir so you can carry a whistle wettener
  • Two mesh pockets, an organizer pocket, quick-access front pocket, and a lid pocket give you plenty of room to haul your daily essentials
  • Daisy chain lash points hold let you stow a rope, a yoga mat, or pretty much anything else you can tie on

Got this a few weeks ago and have used it several times, first impressions: Much lighter than I expected. The top loading is nice and top zip for quick things. the hydration sleeve is nice, and doubles as a laptop sleeve it is padded on back and lifted off so bottom doesn't touch ground when on ground. would like mesh or side pocket for water bottle. Very comfortable straps that don't move around.

I really have liked this pack so far. I've used it on a number of climbing trips. It is a great approach pack and will fit all the gear necessary for a couple of people to go up a couple of pitches. The blue color is super bright and the material is bomber.

Love this bag! Its waterproof and holds a laptop. You can fit quite a bit into the bag and still have room for more. The material is super tough so you don't have to worry about rips and tears. I would recommend for school, small hikes or commuting around town.

I like the versatility that this pack provides. It can be used for just about everything besides long overnighters. For an everyday backpack this thing gets it done. Inside the pack you will find a well padded laptop/hydro reservoir, many small useful pockets, a key clip and a decent cell phone pocket. The zippers on the top and pack panel work well. The top lid zipper is just OK, not great. It is tough/near impossible to open with one hand, but keeps things fairly dry and secure, hence the 4 star review.
