Patagonia Big Mountain Beanie - 2009 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
Designed to keep your head warm during white smoke explosions and eye-watering chute descents, the Patagonia Big Mountain Beanie is the beanie of choice for steep and deep schralping. A toasty blend of merino wool and acrylic with a fleece headband does the trick on the coldest of days, and the swooping design fits under your helmet and protects your ears.
Bottom Line: When in doubt, straighten ‘em out.

A Great Beanie

This beanie is on point. It fits well (I have a medium-to-larger head), and looks great (I got "bitter chocolate" style). I can see how others might say it's a touch large--when pulled all the way down, it comes down to just above the eyebrows, over the ears, and to the back of the head, more than other beanies. Kind of frames the face. But this is great for when it's a little chillier or windy, and when it's not, I fold up the extra length a little (see photo).
If you're looking for something to withstand intense wind, go another route, or pull up your hood. This light weight beanie does it's job.
Change me.

Beaniesbeanie size
Seems like a nice beanie, have hot used it in cold weather. Also is large, one size fits all. I have a large head and it is not very tight. more...
Great design
This is a great beanie. The shape is perfect and the materials are top notch. It's relatively breathable but needs a shell hood in really windy conditions. more...
