Here's what others have to say...

Runs big

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I ordered a L and XL and the XL definitely ran too large. I'm a 38-B usually, so I took a look at the sizing, and it seemed like XL would be right for me, but nope. Guess I'm happy the smaller size worked, but now not sure what to do with the XL since I got it so cheap.

More support, more smoothing, less comfy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love the I can't even feel it when I'm wearing it of the older version of this bra. However, there were some drawbacks. This new version has fixed the nipple show through (unless you're goosebumping)with 2 layers of fabric there. I also like that it lifts and molds your breasts better and looks nicer with T-shirts. I guess it's a tradeoff that the clasp in the back (scratchy until I melted the corners) and the band are just not as comfortable than the older version. I will wear these for work and when I want to look nice. When I'm just hanging out or running errands, I will be wearing the old ones. The older versions wash well in the washer on a regular cycle with other clothes and hang to dry and I've been wearing the oldest ones for 5 years.

Poor fit

I wear size 34 A and have several other Patagonia Barely There and Active Mesh bras which I love. This bra fits around my rib cage, but the cups are cut too large. You can even see the fabric puckering in the photo. It will not sit flat under a t- shirt. Too bad, I love the material, but it is going back.

My boobs sang the hallelujah chorus!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Yes, it's true.. well kind of.. okay, if my boobs could sing they would have been singing the hallelujah chorus when I put this bra on! It is wonderful! I'm an a/b and the small fit like a dream! I wouldn't recommend this as a sports bra but it's wonderful for everyday wear! I LOVE THIS BRA! (:

Comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I have been wearing this bra for a few months now. It does exactly what it says, everyday comfort and support (not a sports bra). I'm tiny, 34A, but also a breastfeeding mom, so it's a nice change from the nursing bras.

I wear one of these every day!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have multiple.
This bra is meant for those of us who are little up there.
I am a 34 A, XS is a perfect fit.
It's not intended to be a sports bra.

flattering bra

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

The cut of this bra is very flattering. It's comfortable and looks good under t-shirts. I found the band provided support and I didn't fall out of it. I recommend it as an everyday bra, I don't consider it a workout bra.

Stock up on the old ones

  • Gender: Female

Just look at the photos...this had to be designed by a man. The old Barely Bras were awesome...no they were never sports bras...they were literally "barely" bras. Just a light form fitting layer. The didn't really provide support but the did contain the boobs!

will not keep the girls contained!

I bought this bra to wear on vacation to Costa Rica because I needed a bra that would dry quickly (washing in sink and drying over night) and I didn't want to sport a uni-boob. The problem is that this bra could not keep my girls contained and provided no support. I should have listened to other 1 star review, save yourself the time pick a different bra. If I hadn't worn it on vacation once ( with disastrous results) I would return it.

Patagonia Barely Wireless Bra

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This item proved to be a huge disappointment. It looks good and is nice and lightweight so I was hoping that it would be an improvement over the clunky pull-on sport bras I am accustomed to wearing. Unfortunately, it offers very little support, certainly not enough for high impact sports - and because I'm a 36A I don't need much support but this bra didn't even give me as much as I need. Also, after a workout I found myself popping out of it. That problem could probably be solved by tightening the straps but the problem of minimal support could not.
