Description

Barely noticeable underwear.

Take a mountain bike ride or trail run after work and you’ll know the Patagonia Women’s Barely Hipster was the right choice for underwear. Seamless construction won’t rub you the wrong way or move around whether you’re in the office chair or in the saddle. And best of all, the recycled materials dry quickly after long days and tough yoga sessions, so you’ll be more comfortable than you ever were in your cotton undies.

After 6 years of loyalty to another brand, the Patagonia Barely Hipsters are now officially my new favorite undies. The fabric feels great on, is super thin and stretchable, but still sturdy. There's enough coverage to insure you don't end up with panty lines but not so much that they cross the line from cute and functional to purely functional. As other reviewers have said, they stay put. No riding up, no wedgies, no readjusting even after strenuous activity. I travel for long periods of time with just 3 pair. They are so thin that they take up no room in my pack and they easily dry overnight when I hang them out after hand washing. I wear a small in other brands, and the small in these fits me perfectly. The Deep Plum color is particularly nice.

I am a wholehearted fan of the Patagonia boy-cut undies, but these just didn't fit quite as well. The leg holes seemed a bit tight for the size.
Coverage is full bordering on frumpy, not as cute as one would predict from the product photos.
Technical features wise - quick drying, lightweight, and breathable. High quality like everything else from Patagonia.

My wife likes these for outdoor activities because they are comfortable and prevent chaffing; however, she does not think they are very cute on.

I tried these on are recent trip to S.America. They dry fast and are very comfy.. Didn''t notice panty lines and wore them hiking and horseback riding. No rise up problems. Elastic band very confortable and snug. Perfect hip/ full bikini coverage.[not to short on but]. I wear a size 6 in undies, a 4-6 trouser and have 36" hips. Fabric very thin but not see thru and stretchy.

Great pair of underwear, super comfy, but I feel like they run a little big. I am normally a medium, but these felt almost baggy, not a plus. But the lightweight material and neutral colors make up for the fit (at least they don't ride up).

Nice summer option and alternative to the Active Hipster (which I also love). These are much lighter than the Active line, but every bit as great for active people, and especially great for hot summer days of hiking. The waist band is really smooth, and like the product title claims, feels like it's barely there.

It's hard to see in the photo, but the black has the same fabric pattern as the other two.
