    Support without the hassle.

The Patagonia Women's Barely Bra delivers comfortable all-day support without the hassle of clasps, wires, or migrating straps. This performance bra has non-slip racerback straps that won't dig into your skin, making for irritation-free wear, especially when you're wearing a pack. The underbust panel offers support for B/C cups, and its modern geometric jacquard print helps to wick moisture on hot summer days. Additionally, you'll find an internal cup pocket that allows for pads/inserts (cups included).

I am still all about this bra...

I just bought 2 more of these! They are seriously some of the most comfortable lightweight bras.

As I mentioned before, definitely not intended for high impact activities, like running, especially if you're on the chesty side, but for casual use they are awesome.

    Best bra ever

Perfect lightweight sports bra, super flattering, and incredibly comfortable. I wouldn't wear it for high impact activity, as it's definitely not the most supportive sports bra I've ever had, but it does the job of a regular bra, without all the wires and straps. I definitely want to snag another one or two.

I've been disappointed with Patagonia bras and panties the past couple of years. After trying different brands, I decided to go back and try these with the inserts. Wow! It has the same breathability I missed. The inserts are flattering and don't get misshapen in the wash. I can wear them doing anything from the riding, hiking, kickboxing and a night out. Its so comfortable and the cut and inserts keep you looking clean and sexy. What more could you want? Oh, and the violet blue color works with so many other shirts I have. Only bummer is that it sits kinda high when you wear a deep v-neck.

    Just right.

This bra is exactly what it ought to be—supportive, shaping, comfortable, smooth under shirts, and easy to wash (although, yes, you have to straighten out the pads). I have two and wear them for yoga, climbing, hiking, camping, yard work or anything else where I really want to move. They don't pinch or bind or slip around and look great. As for sizing, I'm 32D and the small is perfect. Huge improvement over any other active bra I've tried, including other Patagonia options.

I needed a bra for travel to an area without air conditioning. I wanted something that would be comfortable for a long plane trip, in sweaty locales, and easy to wash in the hotel sink. I got more than I imagined with this bra! I wear it all the time at home and to the office because it is comfortable and hides well under clothes. I wear an XL for my 36DD bust. I currently own three of these bras. I recommend removing the cup pads when washing. The cup pads retain their shape and padding better when washed infrequently.

I love this bra, it is very comfortable and is great for hiking, camping or just every day. After a few days of heavy wear, it still holds it's shape and doesn't smell, which is a huge plus. The only thing that might be an issue is inconsistent sizing. I bought a small in black and a small in rosewater and they are nearly a whole size different, the rosewater is almost like an XS. I wear a 32/34DD and I could have gone with a medium, but I like a little more compression and support so the small worked well. Overall I love this bra!

    This is it!

Soft, supportive, light, easy. Always wanted a Patagonia bra because their fabric excels, however they've been too flattening or flimsy...until this one. I am a 34C, 135lbs., 5'9 wearing size Medium. Perfect fit. No pulling on the shoulders(which is a common problem for me.) I wear it every day...all day. Goodbye snaps, velcro, hot, heavy bras. Thank you Patagonia for a bra that holds up the larger cup sizes. (I don't use the insert pads.)

    Very Comfortable

I love this bra! It almost feels like you're not wearing one. It is breathable, light weight and very comfortable. It is padded which is a plus and has great support. Wore this for several days in the desert and it didn't stink and dried quickly. Will be ordering more!

    Almost XS

I wish I could give this bra a 5-star review. The material is silky. The design was clearly well-thought out. But — like most of Patagonia's product line — it runs large. When I lift my arms above my head, it slides up my ribcage (the nonslip material is limited to the straps). Even at the sale price, $30 is too much for a bra that doesn't stay put, so unfortunately, it's going back.

For reference, I'm a 30B. All of this is probably moot for the average lady.

    round two

I liked the first one enough to pick up a 2nd in a different color. It feels almost weightless in comparison to some of those thick and crazy high compression sports bras. This is a great layer under a tank top for summer and desert excursions. The padded inserts also do a better job at staying in place than most. If you use them, you'll need to fix them here and there, but overall they are easy to straighten out. I can't say the same for the Patagonia Cordelisse bra, where I gave up, and pulled them out permanently.

I wish there was another barely bra option with a different strap configuration like the cordilesse, or just something for options.

This bra is the best. I just wore it on a two week trip that included over 33 hours of continuous travel and a 4 day trek through the Himalayas, with temperatures ranging from freezing to high 80s. It was the most comfortable thing I had on. I could wear it for several days in a row, sweating, moving, sleeping and it didn't stink! Only after trekking 8 hours uphill in the heat did it start to smell bad. But the wicking was on point. I never noticed that I was wearing a bra, compared to the others I brought that got irritating after several hours of sweat. I'm planning to buy more. I'm Size 32DD and the medium fit me well. Not enough support for running but perfect for hiking/trekking, exploring, yoga, traveling, and generally any low impact sweating activities.

So comfy I could sleep in it!

I love this sports bra! The coverage is a bit matronly looking, but it does it's job- supporting the girls. The padding is perfect, the fabric is soft and feels great on my skin. It runs true to size. The only complaint I have is that the arm straps are tight and constricting at first. It didn't take long to stretch and get used to, though.

Edit: Now that I've worn this quite a bit, the arms straps have stretched out and the fit is perfect! No regrets with this purchase and I will be getting another!

    Super comfy

I've been wearing these awesome bras for years, but without the padded cups. This new version comes with the cups, so trying them out. Just as comfy, and even better for those cooler days ; ) I am a 34A, and prefer the size medium (I detest any hint of a tight band around my ribcage when doing aerobic sports like biking).

      So comfortable

I forsook underwire bras five or so years ago when I started leading a much more active lifestyle, and decided to always choose comfort and durability over looks. The main problem I have encountered with many sports bras is that they don't prevent the uncomfortable, sweaty "squishing-together" while being active, or conceal my nipples popping through my shirt on chillier days (not the best when working with teenage boys at a wilderness therapy program).
With all that said, this bra to me seems to solve all those issues. The cups help me stay in place, there's enough lining for work-appropriate coverage, the racerback straps work perfectly with a backpack, and it's comfortable enough to sleep in, so if it's cold enough that you don't want to change before crawling in your sleeping bag, you'll be fine. I wore this for a month straight and just bought another one. Highly recommended!
I average between a 34-36 D in regular bra sizing, and the Medium fits me well.

      light impact amazingness

I originally tried the arcteryx SL sports bra for a light impact, quick drying, hand washable, backcountry bra. It blew chunks so I tried this one out. AAAaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh *clouds part, angels sing*!!! I love this bra (and panty set).

This is absolutely comfortable, the material is soft, super starchy, and gives just the right amount of support (I am a C cup) for long grueling (multi day or week etc) hikes. There are removable discretion cups if you plan on hiding any nippage, but you can ditch them if you are gram counting pack weight and want them to dry via body heat. I have never found the straps to be irritating under my pack, or the body of the bra to irritate my underarms while paddling. I am not extremely exploratory with the world of undeez so there may be other sports bras that fit the bill, but this one is FAR superior to any of the light impact sports bras I have ever tried.

I would warm to be careful not to snag it. I have not yet had this problem but imagine that sue to the soft material, it could probably snag pretty easy. But thus far I have had zero problems.

I forget I am wearing it

I have 3 of these bras, and wear them daily. I like that they don't have frills or ornamentation, and offer enough support for sports without mashing my chest into one single boob. They also dry fast. I am a 34B in most bra sizes, and find the S size fits very well.
