Great for hiking Kennesaw Mountain and the Appalachian Trail in north Georgia during these cooler winter days. Like the hood and glove feature.

Where: Portland Oregon (purchased in March)
Main usage : running.
I purchased this hoody thinking it to be a lighter version of R1 Hoody. And it is. The backside is pretty breathable. And it is well-designed/constructed like other Patagonia products. But it is warmer than I expected. When I wore it for a run around 60 degrees, I got rather hot. I wasn't sweating. But I was not cool either. This shirt is truly designed for cool weather., like early spring/late fall. And that shows in the pretty nifty design that transforms the cuffs into mitts. (would be very handy in winter)
But I wonder if this shirt works only in a fairly narrow range of temps. In late spring/summer/early fall, this shirt may be too warm. In winter, this alone would be cold. If you already have a running jacket and a t-shirt, probably you can get away without this shirt.
It is a very well designed/crafted shirt. And I like it. But this is a luxurious type of item, meaning it is nice to have it, but you can survive without it.
Great running top

I have used this 4 times running only. The material is soft and stretchy and feels fine against skin without any layer beneath. Each run was in the 40s, perhaps as low as 38. I was comfortable, and unzipped it and pushed sleeves up when temperature rose to 50 or so. I have not run with the hood up, but put it up when cooling down. With the stretchy hood and zipped up all that is showing are your eyes, nose and mouth very ninja like. With the hood down but zipped up, there is a lot of material almost like you have a loose neck gaiter on. Because the material is so soft, you don't really notice this. The mesh on back and sides vents heat very well. After an hour including hard hill intervals at about 40 degrees the top had accumulated almost no sweat. It seems to have good wind resistance but I have not used it any precip. As noted, it has thumb holes as well as mittens that can be lowered if needed. I like the simplicity of this, grab and go, as opposed to a wicking layer and vest or a heavier top. It's very light so at least you feel you are running fast. I am guessing as you approach mid-50s or so this may be too hot for running but not sure on that. I can see using it for runs in the summer at high elevation early in the morning. Hood could come in handy in unexpected wind. Definitely made for fast forward activities, there is no insulation or ability to cinch waist to trap heat. Not sure how mesh back would hold up if you intend to wear any kind of hydration pack. Perhaps, but it is a fine material.
All Around Awesome

Not a runner but a hiker and climber both rock and alpine. Just took this winter camping in the Sierras. Wore it over a capilene tee all day both for high exertion winter backpacking and for sleeping (with the hood is awesome). Performed fantastic and I tend to run cold/hot depending on level of exertion.
The temps got down to 17 degrees at night. Slept very comfortable inside 20 degree bag.
If I were to describe the Patagonia All-Weather in a word it would be versatile.
As for the fit based on my measurements a medium was almost perfect. 10% looser fitting than a capliene silk weight piece.
A great piece of gear

I have owned this piece for two weeks and I love it! I had a hard time finding something that would keep me warm during a run but wouldn't burn me up when I got warmed up. This does both. I love the mittens that I can flip down or up when I need or don't need them. It blocks the wind and breathes very well. I ran in light rain the first time I used it and it shed the rain very well. I would recommend this to anyone and I think it runs true to size.
