Tired of the junky chain tools that bend after using them twice, making it impossible to use? Buy this one and put those troubles behind you. Nice burly pin that wont bend and plenty compact to travel with you.

This is pretty much the only chain tool I've ever really used. I have a chain tool integrated on the multi-tool I carry for mountain biking, but aside from the incident that caused me to buy that multi-tool I have thankfully not had to break a chain in the field. I use this chain tool at home in the workshop and it works just fine for me. It breaks chains just fine, I ride 1x9 so I have to shorten every chain I use and after years of service on several chains a year this thing still works as if it were brand new.

Luckily I haven't had to use this yet. When I received it it felt a little heavy for it's size, but that's probably because it's made out of metal. It's small and sits out of the way in my pack. I'm sure I'll forget it is even there over time until my chain finally falls apart, which hopefully won't happen for a while. (Cross your fingers)

While I haven't had to use this tool yet, it seems much more durable than your average mini chain repair tool. It seems many mini chain tools break the first time you use them, but this one seems bomber. While not ultra light and compact, it is still small and light enough that I plan to keep it in my pack all the time so I'm not stuck walking.
