PacSafe Wallet - Inside

PacSafe Wallet - Inside

Inside view of the PacSafe wallet - the sleeve on the right is large enough to securely hold a Samsung Galaxy S2.

4 5

Excellent for added security!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Purchased this for a two week Mediterranean cruise that included stops in Sicily, Tunisia, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Nice & Eze France, Cinque Terre, Rome & Florence. Not all destinations were high security concerns but some definitely were, in fact, fellow cruise members did fall victim to pickpockets.

The Pacsafe - WalletSafe proved to be very versatile, attachable to the ankle or arm, and was spacious enough to carry everything that was needed for each day.

The outside pocket is very handy to stow small bills, ID or other small flat items that you may need frequent access to. The inside storage area was surprisingly large, in fact, it was large enough to securely hold a Samsung Galaxy S2 AND credit cards, larger bills, ID and other small paper items.

Obviously one should remember that the more items you put in the wallet, the heavier it will be and may have a tendency to grow uncomfortable or bulky. When I put the cell phone in it, the wallet would fall from my upper ankle all the way to the top of my shoe and was far too bulky to wear on the arm. However, there were no issues when only paper items were stored, in fact, I could easily wear the wallet on my arm with it tucked underneath my sleeve.

I have also used the the wallet on trips to large US cities, Major League Baseball games and any time that I simply wanted to leave my wallet behind.

The wallet is advertised to be phone friendly but honestly the hook and loop strap is not designed to support a load that includes the added weight of a phone. For this reason I can only rate as four stars, but it did effectively address my security needs.
