The injinji Performance Mini-Crew Sock uses a combination of quick-wicking Coolmax and stretchy Lycra to out-perform any cotton sock out there, and they have separate toes to reduce friction. This unique design drastically decreases the chances of blisters forming on your toes. An ankle-height cut makes these injinji socks a great pick for anything from summer trail running to backpacking to hanging in town.
Bottom Line: Leave the cotton in the sock drawer, and hit the trails with the injinji Performance Mini-Crew Sock.
These are odd at first, but one you get used to them they're decent. If you plan on wearing tight fitting shoes, just stick to normal socks because they won't feel any different.
These socks are great for long runs. I wear them for all my runs over 10 miles. They spread my toes a little giving the nerves more space so they don't get irritated. They are also great for blister prevention. They do run a little large however so if you are on the fence about size, get the smaller ones.
Does anyone know how well would these work under (women's) soccer shoes? I usually wear 2 pairs of socks since my feet get so sweaty. I am asking mainly because the toe box design of soccer shoes is very fitted .
I use these in my form fitting soccer shoes and they work great, no blisters, no numbness. If you are already wearing two pairs of socks this may change the fit though, these are very thin. I am a huge fan and recommend giving them a try!
Originally got them for backpacking, because of problems with blisters between toes, but I won't do a long run in any other socks. Great for preventing blisters and sweaty-itchy feet as well.

I had heard so many rave reviews I decided to give them a try for trail running. They just didn't work for me. If you have a fairly tight fitting shoe in the toe box, keep in mind the extra material around the toes will make it even tighter. just for reference, socks that I like include Smartwools and Darn Tough.
I had problems in the heat with blisters between my toes and in a couple of other spots on my feet. Took a chance and got a few pair of these and now this is all I'll run with! They keep your feet cool, wear well and don't carry foot funk! I'm hooked. I've got dozens of pairs now and won't ever switch!!!
I really like the concept of these socks. They are very comfortable and do prevent the in-between toe blisters that happen with long distance running. That said, mine developed a hole in the toe in less then a month of use, and some of the areas and seams are showing wear. I'd have a hard time paying this much for socks that don't last a month.
I bought these for my girlfriend thinking the concept was unique. The material is soft, but are a little thick for her taste, and the last 2 toes on the sock are a little longer than her toes, so is feels "a little weird" running in them. She uses them as her back up pair when it's laundry day.
Besides making my husband laugh when I say the name, Injinji is genius. Their toe socks are fabulous. I have small feet, size 6, and find my toes are so small they get squished together too easily. These socks not only prevent pesky blister in even the best shoes whether jogging or power walking. Pay attention to the type though, performance socks should be worn for performance...if you're looking for socks to knock around the house get the comfort or outdoor crew types also by Injinji. The performance socks are thinner and will wear out eventually so don't waste them dancing around the kitchen.
I plan to do a hike through the Paria Canyon in a month and there are often times when your feet/body are submerged in water and mud. Would these dry quickly to avoid any kind of foot rot?
I constantly bring these socks on backpacking trips. They do dry faster than most socks, and while I love these socks to death, for the terrain you are covering I'd be more inclined to bring Smartwool socks only because I think those are the fastest drying sock I've ever owned.
Don't get me wrong though, I have run many races and hiked many hikes in wet environments in these socks and have never been less than satisfied.
I bought two pair of these for my sister-in-law to wear while running. She has some foot ailments, and she has found that the individual toe movement and reduced friction between her toes alleviates much of the discomfort that she has had with her feet. She raves of them, but she did mention that it took some getting used to to have the material between her toes. I'll give it a 5 based on her feedback to me.
I bought these to use with my new Vibram Five Fingers shoes and they are ideal, but I have started wearing them with normal shoes too and they are excellent. It takes a while to get used to putting them on and having material between your toes but it isn't too strange. For me the biggest benefit is my feet feel much cooler and more comfortable.
My only complaint is at $36 a pair (after shipping and import duty to the UK) they are a little on the expensive side.
Love these socks! Got me lots of them when it was on sale! No sweat between the toes and less hot spots! Now my son wants me to get these for him! I'll get them when it's on sale again its not that cheap.
I picked these up for trail running and love how they feel. I usually have to change socks in the middle of a long run and sometimes even put on mole skin to prevent blisters, but i have completed a 50K with these, mud and water crossings, and never changed socks once. Great feeling not having to worry about blisters and hot spots.
Love these socks. Really help if you have problems with blisters on your toes when they rub together. I prefer the this height of socks versus the micro cut. The higher cut, mini-crew, sits above the back of ankle and doesn't rub on my that back of my ankle. I have worn these socks on a number of 7-10 miles trail runs and they have felt great. Highly recommend.
I love these socks. They are just the right height in the back so they don't rub that back of my foot. They feel a bit weird when you first put them on but you quickly forget about that. I have had issues with blisters on my toes before but not with these socks. I do mainly trail running and they are great.
I bought these socks from an ad I saw in Ultra-Running Magazine, hoping that they would be good a keeping away blister. I ran with them on and they worked well, a little bit to get used to. Although I was disappointed to see that they wore out very fast, maybe just too many seems.
I'm running >4x6 miles/wk and have these socks in rotation with Wright socks (very thin) and Nikes (very wicking). These are my favorite. Cons first: The fabric does not wick well, dries as quickly as a cotton sock, and is fairly thick for running. However, design seems much more important. These prevent blisters between my toes and aside from one small issue, have not allowed for any other problems. The only blister I have ever gotten was during a humid 13-mi, and on the outside edge of a toe, where the fabric rubbed against the inside of the shoe. Get sneakers with a wider toe box if you're going to run in these. Additionally, two of my toes tend to get squashed by other toes when I run and these keep them separate so that they don't get squashed. Now if they made these using Nike-type fabric, that would be amazing. I wear a size 9W and these in S is perfect.
i first discovered the injinji sock during the long beach marathon about 6 months ago....i would never use another sock again. often running 60-70 miles a week, i have yet to have any blisters. this is a great product and from one runner to another, i would have nothing else protecting my feet during a race.
I absolutely LOVE these socks!! I hiked the grand canyon in them, as well as Nevada Falls, and I have also run in them. They completely prevent blisters, and they are sooo comfortable. I would (and do) recommend them to everyone!!
Have used these for multiple medium length runs-~10miles-and they never cause any hot spots or cause chafing. Highly recommended for running, walking, doing whatever because they are just so comfortable.
I recently picked up a pair of Vibram's FiveFingers, and unless you're fine with throwing them in the wash every singe day, you really need some of these socks. I also plan to wear them as liner socks under my Smartwools during the winter. Like the fivefingers, Great idea, great product!
Have seen the adds for years, but finally indulged after a brutal hot-weather marathon in May with resulting sausage toes. A little tough to get on, but once in place these babies cradle your toes, wick moisture, and keep the dogs cool in the heat. Injinji toe socks are not just a novelty item -- these hi-tech socks rock!
If you get blisters between your toes when you run then you need these. I used to have to wrap my toes in band-aids before going out on the trail, but not since I got these injinji socks.
These are wonderful socks. My toenails rub against each other in regular toes when I run causing bleeding but not with these socks. They are light yet supportive. Well worth the investment.
I first got a pair to go with my Vibram 5 Fingers shoes for running in colder weather, but I've found their great for wearing with regular running shoes or trail running shoes as well as great for long trips outings in the road bike or on hot days on single track.
If you enjoy running in the Vibram five finger shoes and love the feeling of being bare footed while protecting the phalanges. Then the Injinji gear will be a perfect fit.
I've been running trail ultras for 26 years and these are the best socks I have found. I have never gotten a blister while wearing them, even having wet feet for hours.
I love these socks and will definitely be hooked on them for life. I have run probably 20+ marathons in them and do not get blisters anymore! However, they do wear out relatively quick. They are an expensive sock (especially for wearing out relatively quickly), but wouldn't run another ultra without them!
I picked up these socks nearly 2 years ago when they first came out. They do take some getting used to and are slow to put on and take off (not ideal for quick transitions like a triathlon) but the performance of these socks are tops! Because each toe is flying solo I found that in the heat my feet were cooler as air flowed between the toes. The other bonus is that when I felt like a blister could come on wearing other socks I'd put these on and run/hike without worry. I'm definitely buying another pair and can't wait until they make this sock from merino or a more technical weave.
