Yakima Locking Blockhead Bike Mount w/Core

The Yakima Locking Blockhead is bomber security. The Locking Blockhead holds one bike, and mounts on pickups, RVs, and boats (mounting hardware not included). It locks your bike to the mount with SKS cores and keys, which are included. The durable and corrosion resistant Locking Blockhead also comes complete with a beefy 9mm skewer. They Work

This simple design will allow you to make your own rack system for your bike. I bolted these directly to the panels of my Chevy Avalanche. They are super strong, hold up to weather and most importantly lock.

I read the comment below about being able to remove the other side with pliers...although I have not tried it, I cannot imagine being able to remove it with ease. Let's face it, given enough time and the right tools, no lock is safe.

Locking Blockhead Mount

Well made, just like all Yakima products. Only complaint is the locking mechanism. It only locks the release lever. The other end of the skewer could easily be removed with some pliers. It is better than no lock, but more theft resistance would be a plus. I think If I got them again I would save the 10.00 and get non locking and a good cable and lock.
