X-Socks designed the Women's Skiing Light Sock for advanced aggressive skiers and pros who desire a thin sock for maximum sensitivity. The women's-specific anatomical construction matches the narrower anatomy of female feet for a more precise fit. I bought a pair of x-socks for my wife to use on a backcountry ski trip out of Purcell Lodge, British Columbia. The socks are a great concept, very warm and a great fit, but perhaps too many good ideas - the air flow ankle pads located on the inside of the ankle rubbed her ankles raw. Granted, everyone's feet are different, I suggest a few days in these socks on lift access slopes before your a couple miles and three thousand vertical feet from home.
