This 11-ounce jacket packs the weather protection of eVent fabric and fully taped seams, so you don’t have to stress when the snow, rain, or wind cuts loose. this is a wicked Jacket some how is form fitting but also has room for layers an engineering marvel it is very comfortable breathable and waterproof my only critique is the hood could use 1 more adjustment, I still love it though especially since it is made 2 blocks from my house and I picked it up for 180 canadian. I also have a westcomb revelstoke that I picked up cheap at their factory clearance and an aztec softshell that was 40 bucks!!! ocasionally things are cheaper on this side of the border hopefully they have a fall sale can,t wait

Why does it claim to be an anorak, but the pictures show a full

Why does it claim to be an anorak, but the pictures show a full front zipper? I've found weights that also list it at 15 ounces, what gives?

The 2008 version was an anorak. For 2009 they have introduced a full zip version but it's not shown on their web site. I'm guessing the on-line retailers are all using last year's description with updated pictures. I have a 2009 mens small and it weighs 15.7 oz.

Waterproof but not too durable

It does breathe well. It is a good shell for winter touring or spring corn skiing. I like the overall fit and the pit zips. The Redrock color does not resemble the image above. The jacket is red in person, not orange as seen in the picture. Very waterproof. The jacket is made of two types of eVent fabric. 300 and 500. The 300 fabric is thinner and I have noticed very small tears in jacket.
