Werner Sprite 2 Piece Paddle - Kids'

Your kids aren't fooled. They know the difference between a real paddle like the Werner Sprite and the more common “kids paddle.” While most kid-specific paddles have all the technology and comfort of a spatula, the Sprite uses the same shape and dihedral design as an adult paddle, just on a smaller scale. A proportionally smaller version of Werner's popular touring blade is mounted on a fiberglass shaft, also proportionally narrower to fit little hands. The long, thin touring style blades are super efficient, so kids won't get frustrated because their strokes don't take them anywhere, and the fiberglass shaft is comfortable on the hands. It will ask you a few questions about your daughter's size and what type of paddling you will be doing, and her boat. Once you are done, it will recommend a paddle and paddle size. It only took me about a minute to go through all of the questions.

This paddle was a gift for my girl friend. Although It's a kids paddle it works killer for small adults in boats with a narrower beam.

in the select options drop down menu you are allowed to choose the paddle by size. I would just size up on measure or two to allow some growing room.

Paddles for Children

I picked up the Werner Sprite paddle in hopes that my 6 year old will start helping out during our kayak outing in out tandem kayak. The Werner Sprite is perfect for smaller hands and with the fiberglass handle is plenty light for the little guys arms. He now enjoys paddling even if only for short bursts.
