Western Mountaineering UltraLite Super Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down - 2006

The Western Mountaineering UltraLite Super Sleeping Bag won Climbing Magazine's Editors' Choice award because if its light weight, bomber design, and efficient heat management. Great for ultralight trips in the spring, summer, or early fall, this highly compressible down bag gives you warmth down to 20F while weighing only 1lb 10oz. Western Mountaineering maximized the 850+ fill down's effectiveness without adding bulk by incorporating a down-stuffed neck collar that all but eliminates heat loss out of the head opening. You won't be frustrated by a poor night's sleep in the UltraLite Super Sleeping Bag—its silky smooth taffeta lining feels great against your skin, the full-length zipper resists snagging, and the ripstop outer shell offers durable and reliable protection against the elements.

Bottom Line: Stay warm, go light, and enjoy a good night's sleep with the Western Mountaineering UltraLite Super Sleeping Bag.

Western Mountaineering is Tops

By:
November 27, 2007

I own the Megalite and the Kodiak Super Microfiber and bought this bag for my 7-year-old. His previous bag was a Big Agnes 48" bag. But since I had to carry it, I went lighter; I bought the 5'6" length. He loves it, it keeps him warm, and he can grow into it for several years. I love it because I no longer have to carry the extra load. The 20 degree rating is fairly accurate in windy conditions, inside a tent you will probably need to unzip a little. If it gets below 20, my kid just slides all the way in. Western Mountaineering has produced high quality, full length zipper bags for many years; I can't imagine travelling in any backcountry without one.
