Volkl Unlimited AC4 Titanium Alpine Ski w/ Motion iPT 12.0 Piston Binding - 2006

Volkl combined the Unlimited AC4 Titanium Alpine Ski with the Motion iPT 12.0 Piston Binding to create an all-mountain killer. The Volkl AC4 won awards from both Ski and Skiing magazines this year. The AC4's Double Grip construction reinforces the skis edge for added strength when you charge through different snow conditions. The core's wood and two-layer titanium construction give the AC4 the strength of a high-end race ski that goes as fast and hard as you want to take it. Drive the AC4 Alpine Ski with the Marker Motion iPT 12.0 Piston Binding's burly 12 DIN rating. The iPT 12.0 Binding's dynamic toe piece moves with the ski's flex, which allows the ski to arc naturally—producing greater power with every turn.

Bottom Line: Slash and burn your favorite resort on the Volkl Unlimited AC4 Titanium Alpine Ski with Motion iPT 12.0 Piston Binding.

I just skied this ski for the first time today and it really was killer. I felt bad for spending so much on skis but it was phenomenal.

Wild ride

These skis rock. I'm 6', 180 lbs, skiing 177 cm boards. They claim these are for advanced/experts and I'm sure they are. They have so much pop in the transition from one turn to the next, they will chew you up and spit you out unless you can tame them. If you can, they are pure fun. Never get into the backseat or they will run away with you. Certainly plenty of width underfoot to handle crud and pow with ease.
The integrated binding system is the easiest I have ever installed; only 1 hole to drill. They make a very tight unit.
Nice!

AC4 Titanium

Excellent ski, I was amazed as to how well it handled the variety of snow conditions. I felt the ski was a little soft, however, overall a great ski for all conditions.

Best of the Best

I demo'd this ski in March of 06. The AC4 is nothing short of incredible. 82 mm waist along with the Marker Piston binding system is the best. Period. This ski can handle anything you throw at it. Pow, crust, ice, groomers, kills everything. The best thing is probably the energy this ski has. When you start really moving and carving the ski kicks in to another level. All I can say is demo the ski and make your own comments. I can assure you you won't regret it.
