Volkl Mantra Jr Alpine Ski - Kids' - 2007

Because Volkl knows that there are some ripping kids on the slopes, they made the Mantra Jr. Alpine Ski. With fat dimensions and burly construction, this ski suits for kids who go fast on steep, big-mountain terrain. According to Volkl, The Mantra Jr's 80mm waist is fatter than any currently offered youth ski, which gives kids the ability to float down big, steep powder lines like never before. Volkl gave the Mantra Jr. a more forgiving flex for lighter skiers and increased the sidecut, but didn't compromise the ski's performance.

Bottom Line: Hard-charging, big-mountain apprentices deserve the Volkl Mantra Jr Alpine Ski.

Mantra Jr- Rocks!

My 8 year old loves these skis, and the comments from the grownups about how cool they look help too! He skied 4 days straight at Mt Hood in powder conditions, and the skis helped him float and turn down the steeper black diamonds with broken powder/chopped conditions. He only weighs 58 pounds, but the skis are definitely tuned to the smaller ripper. Very stable at speed, and as he grows he can enjoy them in the park too. Will help delay trying snowboarding, since they're so fun!
