Volkl Karma Alpine Ski - 2006

The Volkl Karma Alpine Ski's mean wood core and sexy sidecut kill it in the park and serves it up hot on the rest of the mountain too. The Karma's wood core pops like Orville Redenbaucher when you're sessioning the park. Carve up the cords and fly through the trees on the strength and responsiveness of the Karma's fiberglass and titanal construction. A smooth sidecut makes it comfortable in the park and on piste, so if you dabble in a little of both, you deserve the Volkl Karma Alpine Ski.

Bottom Line: Give the mountain what it has coming to it on the Volkl Karma Alpine Ski.

R.I.P Volkl Karma

By:
February 17, 2010

Today is a sad day for me. The best ski I have ever skied on has been laid to rest. The Volkl Karma is the best all mountain ski ever made! I have probably put about 370 days on these guys and they have held the test of time, bumps, jumps, trees, numerous rock hits, asphalt, and concrete. I just ordered my replacement ski, the Line Prophet 90's and I hope I will have the same wild adventures with the Phrophet 90's that I had with my beloved Karmas. Volkl can you please bring back this ski? The bridge just can't cut it! R.I.P Karma.

Great all mountain ski

These skis are awesome. They kill it wherever, whether that be fast groomers, pow pow or the park. Great sidecut makes turns easy. Medium flex. FUN!

The Karma is a solid ski. It is a bit heavy but has some really good pop. With it's solid price you can't go wrong.

amazing ski

all i can say is wow, perfect. I'm 5'10", 150lbs, and i ski the 177cm. Is very good at groomed, ice, crud. Ski excels in powder and mixed conditions and tracked out snow. Very stable on ice, and has very good edge hold as well as being very forgiving. In the half-pipe and park it is good, a tad heavy but in half pipe very good, rails ehhh I wouldn’t use such a nice ski for rails lol, jumping also very good. LOVE THESE SKIs SO MUCH!!!!

No doubts...

Having only skied Volkl AC3's, I was pretty nervous about switching it up to the Karmas. 10 minutes on the slopes and there was no doubt at all about this ski. This ski provides confidence in the steeps during all conditions and kills it in the park. Worth every penny.

Greatest All-Mountain Ski I've Tested

By:
April 19, 2007

At last, one ski to take everywhere and do everything well. OK, it would not be my first choice for dropping into chest-deep powder or SC racing or clinging to sheets of near-vertical ice. But for the 99% of skiing that lives in between those extremes, this ski works wonders, railing turns on groomers, nailing jumps in the park, blasting through crud, and sailing through fresh pow. It's fairly light, nimble and forgiving, yet stiff enough to provide a commanding feel, beating similarly-shaped competition on every turn (Head Monster 88, a good ski, and the K2 Apache Outlaw, a clumsy wannabe). The only aspect that the easygoing might dislike is that, like a true Volkl, it is stiff from tip to tail; it wants a strong skier, but it will pay back forceful input with classic Volkl rebound energy. A gem of a ski!
