VholdR ContourHD Wearable Camcorder

Why settle for mediocre video quality and messy wires when you can get your hands on the world’s first HD wearable video camera, and not sell kidneys to do it? VholdR has started a revolution with the ContourHD Wearable Camcorder. Easily affordable, easy to use, easy to edit, easy to share- The ContourHD makes creating juicy video clips a breeze so you can concentrate on being as gnarly as possible. Capture yourself tearing up singletrack or gliding through the trees with the touch of a button. Mount this camera on your helmet, goggles or anywhere you feel like it. VholdR made this gem water-resistant, light, and shock resistant so you can send it time after time without breaking your favorite camera. Did we mention there were no wires?

  • Includes a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that takes about 4 hours to recharge via your computer or separately purchased charger
  • Easy Edit software is compatible with Mac(10.4 & 10.5) and Windows (XP & Vista)
  • Average record time in HD mode is 30 min and in SD mode is 60 min
  • Weighs in at a feather light four ounces so you can even mount it on your goggles
  • VholdR.com houses a community of thousands of other video geeks and you can quickly upload to this group via the Easy Edit software
  • Laser-assisted line-up for your shots

Bottom Line: Capture your glory in HD.

Both the ContourHD and ContourHD 1080p are amazing cameras. We will have 18 units of the ContourHD 1080p available starting Saturday, November 7th (just search VHR0005).

The 720p ContourHD cameras are also on their way back into stock - if that's what your looking for, hang tight and check back next week so you can get one before they're gone.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like they are going to be carrying it and it should be up any day now. Also sounds like the 720p model will be back in stock in late November.

If you are looking for a way to show your buddies what you are trying to explain, then strap this puppy on and drop in. The device is light weight, easy to operate, and takes great shots. There are many models of helmet cams out there right now, but few capture HD like this one. If you are looking to show your crazy lines, or just the scenery this is a fun toy to do the job right.

I've been researching the net to find the best head cam and it seems to settle on the new GoPro HD hero. Check on the review and footage:

also worth to check on:

Personally I prefer this one or the Go Pro HD that will be here in the next month or two. They are all enclosed in one package and not as awkward as the Vio as the Vio has the battery pack, wires etc. I want the smallest possible. The quality of this one is very nice even though it is cheaper. Personally I would go with this one or the Go Pro HD once it arrives. Both great choices for half the cash.

Check out this video http://www.vholdr.com/contourhd/videos?vid=10
It can be used it water but they dont have a underwater rating like go pro does. The go pro HD will be here in the next month or so. Very comparable quality with this one but rated to 100 feet underwater.

Both would be a good choice.
