Venom Outturn Jacket - Men's - 2007

Like water off a duck's back. That's the kind of waterproof protection you get with the Spyder Men's Outturn Jacket. The lightweight, waterproof Gore-Tex performance shell is also breathable, so you won't end up feeling like a cooked duck at the end of the day. This ski jacket has the Spyder Venom collection's baggy/park fit. Write your question here...What is the best fleece to pair up with this shell. I have a true to size medium (ie not oversized for me) so fleece will need to be warm but not too bulky.

i wear just a north face apex bionic jacket under all my shells and that keeps me warm, dry, and sweat free while im snowboarding in temps aywhere from 15 degrees to like 40+...its a very very vesatile and low bulk combination, zippers up for freezing cold, vents open for normal temps, and zippers open a little for slightly warmer days on the mountians

this thing is awesome!...first of all its just a shell and its made out of goretex so im not going to talk about how waterproof it is...ill talk about the stuff that matters
PROS: Tons of pockets; its like a duffel bag, really durable, the vents are super easy to open and close while wearing the jacket, zippers are easy to operate while wearing gloves, and style points!
CONS: just a few things, powder skirt isnt detachable; but stowable with is almost a valid alternative, the hood isnt helmet compatible, two stage zipper SU-UH-UH-UH-UH-UH-CKS!...and the fit kinda mades you look like trapiziod, small at the chest and then balloons out going down
BOTTOM LINE: superb spider performance, but its not perfect

Great shell with lots o handy pockets and good length for my height (5'6"). Have not used skiing yet but will report back. Very dry in rain and great windproof--I live in New England near the ocean.
