This is a really nice snow-specific jacket, especially for the price. Agree with Matthew that the color is even nicer in person than pictured (though the spider logo on mine was orange, not blue). Really like the zippered compartment for hiding the powder skirt when not in use (the skirt stays attached but disappears into the lining very cleanly). I returned this jacket mostly due to the style of fit - really just personal preference. I'm 6-3, 172lbs and the body of the medium in this jacket was about the same as the large size Venom/Spyder Glacial (which I kept), but the sleeves were too short for me - not too surprising since I usually wear a 36" shirt sleeve, but it made the wrist gaiters unusable for me.

Exactly what I was looking for. I skied 20 yrs before boarding, been riding 10 yrs now. Accustomed to the fit of ski jackets, I gravitate toward the features the Spyder line offers. Most other jackets labeled as boarding jackets are shells without insulation or are component systems which zip out which I found to be bulky and binding when on the move. The stripes and plaid styling of other lines did not appeal to me. I already have a shell, so I was looking for an all mountain jacket with lots of pockets, MP3 ready, powder skirt, waterproof, comfortable, cool looking and insulated.

The last time out (Vermont), it was 7 degrees at teh base with 30 mph winds, windchill was -20 F. I wore silks, thermals and a turtleneck and was toasty warm. Could feel the wind on the lift but this jacket kept me warm. Powder skirt is easy to snap together and the fit is awesome...no binding, not bulky and double zipper is key. I'll use this jacket for at least the next 5 yrs, worth every penny to me. My last spyder jacket is 15yrs old and I still use that for around town and such. Looking forward to my trip out west next week!

Just got the Godfather and love the styling and features. I was hesitant to order the Medium being 5'11" about 160lbs I have a hard time with sizes. Large is usually the right arm length, but to baggy in the body, and medium is great on the body size but short in the arms. For me the Medium fits great. The "Money" color is a lighter green that the picture, but in my opinion even better. Of course the weather has turned to spring where I live, so I have not had the opportunity to use the jacket in cold wet weather yet, but based on my experience with other Spyder products I am not worried.
