Vasque M-Possible Mountaineering Boot - Men's

Vasque designed the M-Possible Mountaineering Boots to answer the demands of mixed climbing and steep ice ascents. For technical pitches, crank down the boots with a couple of turns of the Boa dial, and when you reach the belay, quickly loosen them up. The M-Possible's SuperFabric upper blocks rocks, picks, and stray crampon points, and the Thinsulate + Reflexion liner provides low-profile, insulation for cold, ice climbing days. A carbon fiber insole board and a Vibram Mulaz outsole create a stiff, super light platform for precision footwork on hard routes. Vasque included a softshell gaiter that clips onto the boot to keep snow out, without obstructing your view of your feet or getting in the way during delicate moves.

Bottom Line: Crank down the Vasque M-Possible Mountaineering Boot and climb a grade you once thought impossible.

Impossible lacing system

By:
January 9, 2008

Warm boot, easy on, easy off, but the cable lacing has to be either tightened to the point where there is no ankle flex or if I loosened it enough to walk in on an approach in reasonable comfort they became too sloppy with heel lift and foot movement. There isn't a way to lace lock the lower tight and loosen the upper slightly.
Might be a good tech ice climbing boot but definitely not a mixed climbing boot.

well built, but make sure they fit!

The concept is great- the shoes are a joy to tie and untie- but you should have moderately narrow forefoot. Reason: If you try to tie down the top to reduce motion in the ankle area, then you end up tightening up the front. So they are well built, great mountaineering boots- if they fit!

tried them on and they felt horrible. tons of pressure coming down on top of the foot. no i haven't used these but for those internet shoppers out there who don't have a gear store in their town; these ones don't feel good. if your a vasque fan and they work for you great, but they didn't for me. go with sportiva.
