Vasque Breeze Low XCR Hiking Shoe - Men's - 2007

With a waterproof Gore-Tex XCR membrane, the Vasque Men's Breeze Hiking Shoes keep your feet dry as you charge up wet spring trails. The Gore-Tex XCR membrane blocks moisture while remaining breathable, so you can splash through puddles without getting soggy socks. The midsole and TPU plate provide support on the trail without making the Breeze Low XCR Shoes feel stiff, and Vasque's airmesh upper material gives these hiking shoes bomber breathability.

Bottom Line: Vasque's Breeze Low Gore-Tex XCR Hiking Shoes keep your feet dry and comfortable on your spring and summer hikes.

Fantastic support, comfortable, well made

By:

Very well made pair of low cut hiking shoes for serious day hikers, for any weather or terrain. Superb ankle support for a low cut and very comfortable from day one. Not the lightest pair around but also not too heavy. You'll appreciate the quality construction.

Sizing

The difference between this and the non Gore-Tex model is that with this model you have to go up a full size. If you wear a nine
you would order 9.5 non Gore-Tex and 10. in Gore-Tex. Non allows for wide foot, up front where as Gore-Tex model may not allow for a wide foot even after going up a fell size.
I have multiple pairs of each. See other reviews on non Gore-Tex. This store is your most reliable and intelligent purveyor.

Comfortable, stable, breathable!

My last pair of shows were Keens and although they were very comfortable, my feet got hot and the lateral support was so so. With the huge discount this site was offering on these I bought a pair. This is the first pair of Vasque shoes I've owned and... now they will definitely not be the last! Just as comfortable as my keens but with the stability and cooler breathing characteristics I was after. Fantastic!

I agree with the prior reviewers to go a bit bigger. I wear either a 10 or 10.5 depending on width. I went with an 11 and they fit perfect.

Serious low cut hiking shoe

Great sole stiffness for uneven terrain. Quality construction with a vibram sole. Sized a little small so you may want to order a half size larger than normal.

Sizing/comfort

Definitely buy a size up with the Gore-Tex model. I wear a size 11 in everything. I took the other's advise when ordering. I ordered an 11.5 and a 12. I kept the 12 and am returning the 11.5.
Shoe fits well. Seems a bit narrow at the toe but doesn't impinge such where it'll be a problem. There are my first Vasque pair of footwear. I usually go with Danner or Merrell. Price and features intrigued me. So far Vasque will definitely get another look again when I need such again. Comfortable. So far so good.
