The Vans Classic Slip-On Skate Shoe needs no description. In fact, it shouldn't even be called the Classic anymore. Now it should be the Legendary. Less moving parts in action, the Slip-On gives you slacker comfort with overachiever grip. A variety of wild colors and patterns let you express yourself, and the SBR wafflegrip sole keeps you stuck firmly to your deck. Simplify your life with the Classic Slip-On.
Bottom Line: The Vans Classic Slip-On Skate Shoe—same awesome design, fresh colors and patterns.
I use these in my toe clips on my bike that I ride around the city and they are sweet. There's no laces, so there's nothing to catch on the clips when you slip them in. Makes for easy mounts and dismounts, especially if you are riding fixy and need it to be quick and easy. Plus they're just retro and awesome.
Classic shoe for everyday kickin' it. Super comfy for all day wear, but easy off when you get to the beach and you wanna throw them off into the truck. Tons of different prints and colours to suit your own particular style, and you can even get on the Van's website to fully customize it. SO SICK!
I'm a 58 year old grandpa and must say that these Vans are comfortable! I wear them on the boat, chasing grandkids or just casual hanging around the golf course with the boys. I get lots of comments from all ages. I love them and now have them in all kinds of colors (even camo). Hell, I might grab the old skateboard out of the garage! Backcountry did me good! Thanks.
I'll never stop wearing these. Every time I wear a pair out, I buy another pair. Comfortable and convenient. I live in Japan as well where I have to remove my shoes all the time. With these, I can respect the local customs without fumbling around with laces and rock some fly shoes at the same time ;)
Got these shoes a couple weeks ago. They look great. And HANDS DOWN, the cheapest I found them on-line. You can't find these in stores easily and I was very pleased with this store's selection
I recently bought a pair of these as dedicated skateshoes. I am a longboarder, so lots of protection and cushioning aren't really necessary for me, but mobility and comfort are key. This shoe provides, with great traction, a flexible sole and good security on your foot despite have no laces. Cross steps, peter pans, nose manuals, and chopping wood is unbelievably comfortable and easy with these shoes. Not to mention they look awesome! I got the black and yellow checkered print. A fantastic buy for longboarding.
Whether you are trying to relive the glory of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, or just looking for something that is easy on the feet and the eyes this is a great shoe for you. I recently saw someones grandpa walking out of a Safeway sporting a pair, and I must admit I dug his style
Even at full price, these shoes are worth it. Comfortable, (still) well constructed, and fun. If you wait it out, however, you can almost always find an excellent deal on these at Backcountry, sweetening the deal even more.
Awesome price and last forever and its hard to beat the slip on slip off factor I have wide feet though so there are not for use Fred Flintstone types. Unless you want to buy a bigger size to accommodate for the wider feet. Also great for long boarding!
