Voile Ski Straps 9 Through 24 inches - 2004

Voile Straps have thousands of uses and are super handy to have in your pack. Duct tape and zip ties may come in handy, but wait till you're SOL in the backcountry – Voile straps can save the day. Made of tough and stretchy polyurethane, Voile straps will simply not fail. You should always carry a few when traveling in the backcountry. They are great for fixing a pesky adhesive skin, cinching gear onto your pack and, of course, for holding your skis together. True story: Our marketing director broke his ski clean in two while in the backcountry. He used Voile straps to hold the broken halves together, enabling him to skin out. Just ask him, and he'll tell you, they work.

Must-Have Emergency Item for the Backcountry

For strapping my skis together, I prefer to use the hook-and-loop ski strap style padding to separate the ski bases and edges. But Voile straps work very well for securing gear like crampons to the outside of my pack, plus they have the even more important benefit of coming in handy for some backcountry emergency repair.
