I use these as my base layer for winter kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay and salt marshes. Performs wonderfully.

Tip...On not so hot days I wear right under my waders...may want to invest in a synthetic shirt to go over as the buckles on the waders caused undo wear to the fabric.

Base layers are a critical component in my clothing system- if you can call it a system. The two primary features I look for are moisture transportation and insulation- but under Armour's stink-proofing called ArmourBlock, is also nice for mitigating confined space living violations. The interior of the ColdGear 2.0 fabric has a waffle pattern which seems to trap heat well but also breathes when working hard. This isn't under Armour's compression fitted stuff, but still fits snug. Black is the only color I use for heat retention. For extreme cold, go for the Base 3.0, but for skiing, slogging, or active sports, this stuff is freakin' great.

The one thing I don't like about Under Armour is that it tends to be tight, and although not necessarily restrictive, restrictive feeling. I do not like to use it under other layers because it just feels like I'm stacking other layers on an already tight under layer. I don't know how else to explain it... I just don't like it. However, I tend to use them as outer garments in situations where I want tight layers which minimize chafing while maximizing sweat wicking. On wintertime long distance runs, I use these bottoms under my running shorts... essentially as running tights. They work fabulous for that. I just don't like them under other layers.

Don't get overheated when going between indoors and out! And they kept me warm when I was just standing outside and not moving much!

They are not the compression tights I'm used to and not as tight fitting. UA makes great products.

This was one of my go to baselayers midwinter when it started to get cold. It is really comfortable, breathes really well, and kept my legs warm all winter long. The only complaint I had with these was the same as the 1.0. The foothole is a little big so it was a little loose around my ankle. Other than that, these are great.

I wear these to work under my uniform pants. I'm constantly between indoors and outdoors and sometimes caught standing around outside for hours on end. The 2.0 pants are perfect for me because they don't get too warm when I'm inside or active, and they keep out the elements when I'm outside just standing there. I've worn them for days in a row without a wash and they don't get nasty with stink. A really great base layer if its cold out but not a blizzard!

I have tried several other brands, and I admit I was skeptical of Under Armor (just like Nike), but these are amazing. They fit tight, but not like many others I have tried. They move with you and are not restrictive. I am a big guy, coming in at 6'2" and 230#, and the XL works great. I sweat easily, and these wick moisture better than anything I have tried and keep me warm and dry. Synthetic, but seem to not retain odor as easily as others. Excellent thermals.

The more I buy UA it seems I find better and better products. 2.0 performs as well or better than any other mid-base layer on the market. One can spend more money but UA performs well for the price.

the is a great fit. Love them for running in the winter.. snowboarding base layer or just wearing around the gym to keep my knees warm and legs loose. Wear a 34x32 pant and the medium fits great... 5'10" 175

bought one set for son-in-law, he works outside...he loves them, another set for Christmas for hubby, we will see how he likes them. He works inside but is always cold. well worth the money
