Thule Xsporter Load Stop - 2004
Thule Xsporter Load Stops act as bookends on your Xsporter rack system, adding lateral stability to whatever you happen to toss across your bars. Lumber, boats, ladders and anything else you choose to put on tops can benefit from load stops. To secure your load, you can run Thule Load Straps [THU0061] through the stops and tie down your cargo.
Bottom Line: Stop right there, load!
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

You should look into some form of thread locking compound such as loctite. These are specifically designed to stop nuts/knobs from loosening and coming off due to vibrations. I have had great success with these on bikes and longboards... same concept.
