Minimal wind resistance can not be underestimated. I drive long distances with and without the bike and my gas mileage stays down. The only problem I have had is that the little piece of plastic fell off the back and I lost the ratchet to hold the back tire down. I called a gearhead and the hook me up with Thule directly to get the replacement pieces I needed.

The V2 accomodates mountain bikes with disc brakes very well. I would've given it a 5 except for the fact that the end cap must be removed to accept the long wheelbase of my XL-framed 29"er. At least it fits, and for that I am relieved.

Great rack. If you look at the picture you can see the cutouts behind the clamp well those make room for any kind of disc brake. I wouldn't have been able to get a friends bike on there without them. Also it is really easy to adjust.

I recently ordered the above mentioned bike rack from this site, and the service and shipping was excellent. The only complaint I have is that the product had scratches all over the painted surface from being slid around inside the box. I assume this may be Thules fault, but it would be nice in the future if this site would maybe wrap that part in plastic. Thanks again and I will be back
