Thule Step Up Wheel Step - 2008

Make loading your Combi Box or getting your freeride bike on your roof rack a little easier with the Thule Step-Up. This heavy-duty platform straps to either the front or rear tire of your vehicle, so you can actually see what you're doing on the roof. It works wonderfully on trucks or SUVs that are too high off the ground to comfortably load. The no-slip platform ensures sure-footed loading. The attachment strap easily runs around the tire and fits any vehicle regardless of wheel-well clearance. Thule includes a carrying bag, and the Step-Up folds flat for easy storage.

Bottom Line: The Step-Up makes loading your car easy.

An interesting solution

Since I am 5'2", getting my bike into the rack on my Land Cruiser (very tall vehicle) is extremely difficult without a ladder and who wants to carry a ladder around? This product solves the problem nicely and even comes in a nifty carrying case. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because right over the tire isn't always where I need to be, so I still have to use the running boards on the car with a door open. I usually have one foot on the Thule step and one on a running board, but it works.
