Thule Low Rider Bike Mount

The Thule Low Rider is simultaneously the most basic and most versatile piece of bike mounting hardware in existence. The Low Rider is a fork-mounting block that can be attached to any flat surface. This means beds, walls, floors, caps, camper tops, random pieces of wood, boat decks, roofs, and any other appropriate (or inappropriate) surface you can drill four holes in. The Low Rider is made of heavy duty metal, and designed to work with a cable lock so your bike stays where you left it.

Bottom Line: Mount a bike wherever you need it.

Yes. It mounts just like you attach your front wheel. The mount resembles the hub on your wheel. Disc brakes aren't a problem.

It will. That's what we use on our bikes.

Excellent fork mount

I mounted two of these mounts onto a 2x4 in the bed of my trunk. They work great. Since I cable lock my bike to the truck, I had no need for a locking fork mount. This fork mount fit the bill perfectly - economical, sturdy and look decent.

Nope. Check out the SRAM flytrap. It is capable of both 9mm and 20mm through axle.

Pretty good system

I like the concept, the construction and the product. Works well in the bed of my nissan frontier. However, putting them in was a little bit of a pain, lining up bolts and such. The manual said to use 5/16 bolts, turns out they are more like 9/32. I just drilled the holes in the bracket out a little. Also, loc-tite or a lock washer is definitely recommended as the bolts will loosen up over time.

All in all, it's good, cheap and reasonably secure.

Hi, will this thule low rider bike mount accept both a mountain

Hi, will this thule low rider bike mount accept both a mountain bike and narrow road bike profile? Any damage being done using this system with a carbon fork? Thanks

Yes it will accept any type of fork. You don't crank down on this thing to keep the bike in place so it should not damage a carbon fork at all.
