Thule Crossroad Railing Half Pack

The Crossroad Railing Pack includes two Crossroad feet to affix your Thule rack system to your cars factory installed side rails. The Crossroad uses a unique flexible clamping strap to fit to almost any side rail. The Crossroad's adjustment tool is built into the feet, making it easy to adjust and lock down with no external hardware. ugh. I love my Thule's but I lost the paperwork and can't

ugh. I love my Thule's but I lost the paperwork and can't seem to figure out how to take off the crossroad feet for winter. I don't have a lock on them. I don't want to break them trying.
Can someone help?

The outer face (the part with spot for lock and says "Thule") pulls of with a little bit of brute force and ignorance (screwdriver?), then that reveals a built in hex key that should unscrew the rubber strap.
