good for what it is

By:

was able to actually snag the very last one of these BC had in stock for 10 bux. I bought the new series thermarest air matress and it fits perfectly. I can't complain about this item as it serves its purpose well, however I can't give it a 5 star rating simply because there is nothing 'fantastic' about it. although it would have added a tad more weight, some form of compression system to cinch it up a bit more tightly (diameter, not length) would have got it 5 stars. but as noted no complaints and does a great job for what it is...definitely worth having with the pad...lil extra room in it but I'm positive I can find something in my pack to take up that wasted space left over in the length....and pretty sure I can find a way to tighten it up.

Will the Thermarest ProLite 3 Regular pad fit into the Thermarest

Will the Thermarest ProLite 3 Regular pad fit into the Thermarest ProLite 3 Small Stuff sack with careful folding and rolling?

Almost certainly: you can fit the small into its own stuff-sack with plenty of room, so you should be able to get the regular in without too much trouble.

This stuff sack is actually designed for a sleeping pad, specifically the Thermarest ProLite 3.If you're wanting general stuff sacks for a sleeping bag, take a look at all of these options:http://search.backcountry.com/exec/?q=stuff+sack&;x=0&y=0All the ProLite pads are designed to be folded in half before being stuffed. This stuff sack only accommodates that type of pad.

All you need.

By:
December 4, 2008

This stuff sack is just like any other, but it's measured to fit your Prolite 3 perfectly. This should be used on the 3 only. Like others have said, there will either be too little or too much room if you have something other than the 3 version. It's unique shape can be used in other contexts as well with blankets or something else of that nature. Plenty durable, and the clip loop makes a difference. Recommended for Prolite 3 owners.

Perfect for the job

By:
November 7, 2008

Should come with the sleeping pad. Weighs nothing, repels water, and works. Is it a great product? Yes. Could you save ten bucks doing the same thing with a rubber band? Yes.

Will this stuff sack work with the prolite 4? just wondering if it would fit...

Technically no. The Prolite 4 stuff sack gives you an extra .75" in width to fit the larger pad. If you pack the pad über-tight, you'll probably still be able to get it to work in the Prolite 3 sack.

Great stuff sack

By:
June 4, 2004

I've got a stuff sack for my ProLite 3 Short pad, and it does a great job. Neat material that works well for this pad. The stuff sack also folds in on itself into a little pouch while not in use. Highly reccomended.

Keep it organized :)

By:
December 20, 2008

It's a must have for Prolite 3 owners - pad fits perfectly in it and for just 0,5 oz added weight it's worth it being more organized on track... I would recommend not to store your pad in it(at home) because auto-inflates harder thereafter.

Stuff sack serves its purpose. The cover flap on the bag is useless and pulls off in no time.

So if you get a Therm-A-Rest pad you must, I mean must get this so that you can keep your $70+ purchase in good condish. The fabric is super nice and my pad rolls up and fits so nice inside. Everything I have bought from this site I freaking love!

Great Sac.

By:
November 18, 2008

Great construction. Just don't get it thinking you'll use it with the prolite 4. That is unless you want to spend 30 minutes trying to get the damn pad in a sac thats too small and another 30 minutes getting it out. I bought the 4 and will use this one for other things.

does the job

By:
July 29, 2008

Sure, the sack should come with the pad, but if it did, then no one would be able to customize their own Therm-a-Rest configuration. Following a previous reviewer's advice, we found that the Pro-Lite 3 Stuff Sack slides nicely over the Pro-Lite 4 Sleeping Pad (though it *must* be rolled up thoroughly). Once we got used to using them together, we were quite glad to be packing that much less bulk! One caveat: The end handle isn't built to withstand hard tugging.

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 3 Stuff Sack

By:
June 5, 2007

This is a very light, very tough stuff sack. It's more than roomy enough for either the short or long version of the ProLite 3 (I have one, my sister has the other). A bit pricey--and I think it should be included with the mattress--but a good stuff sack.

The Therm-a-Rest ProLite 3 Stuff Sack gets the job done... its a stuff sack for the sleeping pads. At, 0.5 oz, it's well worth the weight to take care of your sleeping pad and fit it into a small space. Gotta love it.

Essential

By: Backcountry.com Employee
June 6, 2008

This stuff sack is pretty essential if you get the prolite 3 pad. It fits perfectly with the pad rolled up pretty light. The bag is durable and will repeal water very well. The handle is convenient. I am only giving it 4 stars not 5 because it should come with the pad. Come on Therm-a-Rest!

I only store my pad in this sack when I'm hiking around. Fits nicely but for faster auto inflation store the pad inflated in the back of a closet.
