The North Face XTC Lightweight 1/4 Zip Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

The North Face Men’s XTC Lightweight ¼-Zip Long-Sleeve Shirt combines bamboo-infused polyester, flatlocked seams, underarm gussets, and a UPF rating of 30 to give you a highly breathable and extremely comfortable protective layer for cool-weather activity. The bamboo-infused polyester helps to wick away moisture and fight microbial funk so you don’t end up with a smelly, sweat-soaked baselayer at the end of every day. Great base layer....

This base layer performs as expected from The North Face. It kept me dry, even after sweating my ass off climbing 3 multi-pitch routes over 8 hours. It breathes incredibly well and is very comfortable. However, it's claim about fighting off odors with the "microbial fighting carbon bamboo thingymagig" didn't exactly hold up to it's end of the bargain. It was definitely funky at the end of the day. I wasn't exactly expecting to smell like I just hopped out of the shower after climbing all day, but after a good test, this functionality failed. Overall a good baselayer that has taken a lot of abuse.
