The North Face Windwall 2 Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face integrated abrasion-resistant panels into the Men’s Windwall 2 Fleece Jacket to prevent damage from nasty tree branches. This wind-resistant fleece can act alone in chilly, dry, gusty weather, but you’ll want to utilize its skills as a baselayer when skiing or hiking in cold, stormy conditions.

Bottom Line: You can carry a lot of whatever you please with the DAKINE Large EQ Bag hanging from your shoulder.

Great gift for the guy who can't handle bulky jackets

By:
January 13, 2010

I purchased this Windwall 2 jacket for my boyfriend for Christmas who doesn't like bulky jackets at all. Needless to say, he loves it! He says that it provides him with enough warmth in the cold temps (around 30 degrees) without feeling like he's suffocating.

Awesome jacket and awesome service

By:
January 25, 2010

It's awesome jacket I comfortable wearing it down to 40 deg with a thin sweater. The size is traditional NF fit, so I ordered a med bc I like mine to be fitted. I'm a large in summit series and flight series. I give this jacket two thumbs up!

Good Jacket

By:
August 24, 2009

The Windwall II jacket has a very trim fit. I could wear a thin layers underneath it, but anything bulky would not fit well underneath this jacket. I wear a large and most jackets in that size have arms are a bit long for me. The Windwall II's sleeves fit me perfectly.

The jacket is warm enough to wear in cool weather and blocks wind well, but it not warm enough to wear on its own in cold weather. I have a Patagonia Retro X fleece jacket that does not look great but is much warmer.

Northface Windwall Jacket

By:

Beautiful jacket -- size is true. Color (blue/grey) is really pretty. My son (age 20) loves it and wears it at college walking back and forth to class. It is a good jacket and a value for the money.

Stops wind, not so much insulation

By:
December 31, 2009

Ordered a small, I have narrow shoulders and this fits well, however the arms were 2 inches too long and required alteration. It does block wind well but it's not as warm as the more pillowy fleeces I have. It gets a four for being stylish and fitting my skinny white boy body.

The jacket is just what my nephew ordered for Christmas. He like the way it fit and says that it is very warm.

Great for Blackhawk rides!

By:
December 29, 2009

It's cooling down here in Iraq and I needed a jacket. The Windwall 2 fits me perfect. Not too tight, yet not too loose or thick to fit under body armor. This jacket is pretty warm for how thick it is. I was surprised at how well the jacket stopped the wind from the rotors of a Blackhawk when I had to take a trip the other day.

Sold on NF

By:
December 27, 2009

Bought it for my step-son for Christmas. Like all NF stuff, it is excellent quality and sized as you would expect. Not really a typical fleece which I think is a good thing. It is more fitted than typical fleeces and won't look pill-y after time and wear. Another good buy from Backcountry. Thanks.

Nice Jacket

By:
December 29, 2009

I am 5'7'' / 140 lb and a Small size works well on me. In the beginning I was wondering why this fleece is much more expenisive than most of the fleece jacket, but after I got it, I understand. It has a special layer inside and provides you a perfect shield in a chilly windy weather.
Anyway, it is a good choice
