The North Face Windstopper Hybrid Tight - Men's

Don’t let cold weather slow you down, slip on The North Face Men’s Windstopper Hybrid Tight and hit the trail. The Hybrid Tight’s Windstopper shell blocks out cold wind, and breathable knit construction regulates your temperature. The North Face gave this tight carbon from bamboo technology to keep odor from invading your tights. Two zippered hand pockets hold your essentials, while calf zippers open up for extra ventilation.

Bottom Line: Hit the trails anytime.

Anyone know if these pants will work for winter cycling or x-country skiing?

they will certainly work for either, but for cycling, usually it's preferrable to have a more form fitting cycling pant with a chamois and no pockets (to hinder movement or bind when pedaling). i'd think they'd be fine for more casual rides less than 10-15 miles.

First Impressions

I have only had these pants out twice so far, but I am so far impressed. I have used them on my morning run(s) in temps of 35 degrees, and 22 degrees. On both runs I found the pants to be dead-on comfortable. I am a big fan of Gore's Windstopper, and the application by The North Face here makes sense. It blocks the wind caused by your forward movement, as well as canyon breezes. The fleece at the back of your leg is soft and breathable. I like the cut of the pants; they seem unrestrictive - cut close to the leg without being a" tight." The articulation of the knee allows for good flexing. They appear to be a good solution for active winter exercise - I am looking forward to using them on a snowshoe trek. I am 5'8" 150lbs, and the medium fits me well, as do most TNF products (although the short 30 inch inseams are the best).

I would like to hear any feedback on this pant. Looks like a winner for winter running by wimps that don't like cold, wind or damp (me).
